Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Yunlin country is an area full of sunlight, therefore produce several specialty. This research focus on how sunshine benefit Yunlin county’s industry.

2. Summary of Our Project

We aware that we will face “energy crsis” one day. The depletion of energy alert us the importance of finding alternative energy. Through this paper we could know the basic principles of solar energy. Research on the use of solar energy in the daily life. And cited the solar power project of European and United States, shows that we should grasp the advantage of solar energy. This article also focus on solar energy project related to Yunlin Taiwan, which plans to benefit Yunlin county’s agriculture, power generation and other discussions with reflection.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:more than 50%

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:1

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:not sure

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:more than 6

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):

We are the first-year high school students, we can only use lunch break or other free time to discuss together. We separate our work equally, using internet make us work more efficient.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

a) The main industry of Yunlin county is agriculture, agro rely on sunlight supply, hence we decided to focus on the conversion of solar energy and industry. However, the difficulty of knowing the principle of high solar related project is very high. Fortunately, the school held a solar cell experiment andSolar school visit, we have more understanding of solar energy after these experiment. However, our theory knowledge is still limit, thus we focus on solar energy application. b) It is hard to allocate time, we had just ascended on high school, the complexity of the curriculum is higher than before. Therefore we can only use after-school time for discussion, having a common time for discussion is difficult, so we spent holidays in the school to discuss. c) Web design technology is our Achilles heel, nobody learned web design, we decided to use adobe web authoring software MUSE, perhaps the page is not very fancy, we hope to present our thematic research is a classic way.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Solar energy has gigantic contribution to human society. The footstep of energy crisis is getting closer, thus the development of solar energy industry increasingly important. Solar panels is everywhere in Yunin, the benefit is incalculable. The reflect of the sun makes the car move, you can wash with hot water bath, you can also get a little profit from selling electricity. First time contact solar energy, we see the importance of the sun. Thus, the future development of Yunlin, should not be underestimated.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The development of solar energy are important to the world. It is important to Taiwan apparently. Sunshine in Yunlin is advantageous for the development of solar energy industry.Benefit of agriculture and related industries, is absolutely Yunlin local characteristics.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Hardware: PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone, voice recorder, digital cameras, used to gather basic information, FIG record the interview process and the text. Software: IE, Googlecrome and other software, Word, Paint,Photoimpact, Format Factory and other image processing software, Adobe MUSE web design software company Adobe. Web: FACEBOOK community, LINE communications, mobile networks.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We set up a Facebook group, invited locals to participate in our discussion and advertises yunlin's solar energy usage. Further more we'll present our two paper works regarding the topic of usage of solar energy to high school students nationally.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our solar yunlin research has resonated in governmental institutions. Developing solar energy is prioritized to increase the usage of solar energy.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We've introduced local solar energy farms owner to the government to help tackle the problems green energy industry faces.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Solar energy applications are extremely important technology for mankind.Studying in Yunli,we must understand more solar, learn and combinate everything we study in the future We choose nature group for us in the future and let me have different view in the nature field.
