1. Description of Our Community

Hong Kong is an international city and included many country culture in it especially Chinese and England. Hong Kong is part of china, so they follow many traditional in mainland,like herbal tea.Herbal tea is Chinese traditional medicine. Many people in Hong Kong have an unhealthy life and don't have time to visit the doctor,so they will go to the shop that is selling the herbal tea to drink instead of visiting the doctor.Most of them drink selfheal spike tea and twenty-four flavours tea. They can recuperate their body and to prevent get sick.Also drink it in daily time can keep our body healthy.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our title--selfheal is a common herbal among our community. This is important that we have to drink this to maintain our body health because of our bad lifestyle. We would like to promote this healthy habit to everyone who see this web page.And let other country to know more about our Chinese traditional food and drink.So we want to share selfheal tea to everyone.

In a Information Age, information spreads widely and rapidlynthrough computers.Hong Kong is a knowledge-based society that deploys knowledge, information technology and communication systems in Hong Kong are very common.Everyone in Hong Kong have at least one computer at home.Because of this,we can see how common is the computer in Hong Kong.People in Hong Kong mostly use their mobile phone to surf the internet nowadays also.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

All of our teammates are newbie of building up webpage. We lacking knowledge on building website so we faced quite a lot of problem.When we started to write code, we fail type the right code. And we feel so confused. Fortunately, our senior form schoolmate and computer teacher help us. And we go through it successfully.

The participation in CyberFair has make us got a lot of build up wepsite.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

In this project,i have learn how to use many computer software to create a website.Also,I learned the skills of finding information and teamwork.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We have use some Computer software to doing this project. We had used adobe Dreamweaver to design our web page and use surveymonkey to create a short survey to ask people about our topic of the web. Also we have draw a background of the web page and scan it to the computer .Then use Photoshop to make it better.These kind of tools help us a lot and our school provide them to us in computer room.we think the most valuable tool is adobe Dreamweaver.This tool help us to make a web page more perfectly and reduce our time.It is very helpful in doing this project.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

The topic of our project is about Chinese Herbal Tea.In order to see the reaction of different people when they drink the herbal tea,we have make a short video.In the video,we have prepared a little cup of herbal tea for the people,and let them tasted it.Some people liked the herbal tea,thought that the herbal tea were tasted sweet and wanted more to drank.But some people didn't liked it,they thought it tasted strange and will never try it anymore.In the video,have a one boy from Philippine,his reaction after drinking the herbal tea was very funny.He use his face to show that he really don't like the herbal tea and we are also laughing with it.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

I think the impact of our project is the skills of building a website.Before this project,me and my teammates didn't have any concept about building a website.It's seems very easy when we saw the website from some companies or the official website of this project,but it's just our imagine. After our teacher taught us the step and the method of building the website,we are now already know how to built a website and we will try our best to make our website be perfect.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

The people who are teaching us what to do when we building a website,was our teacher,Miss Tao.At first,we know nothing about building a website,but then, Miss Tao was taught us the skills and we become better and better than before now.In here,we really want to say thank you to our Miss Tao.When we have any question,she will taught us patiently and answer us as much as possible.She is a very good teacher and i felt happy that i can be taught by her.
