1. Description of Our Community
Longxian is located in a mountainous county in the western end of Shaanxi. It was famous as Shehuo of longzhou since ancient times. After the founding of new China, Longzhou Shehuo performances are unprecedented, and there are 300 Shehuo organizations in more than 200 administrative villages in Longxian. The scale is larger and larger, content is richer and more colorful, performances are more exquisite and moving, and it has retained the original ancient dress form. Longxian people used to say 'small spring festival, big Lantern Festival'. In Lantern Festival Every year in Longxian, the Shehuo play contest made each country Shehuo performing team scales are larger and larger, the contents are more and more colorful, the adjustment of rural industrial structure promotion and technology about rural economic development production and living content are also increased, Through playing and watching Shehuo to tell harvest joy, pray for the harvest, favorable weather, peace and prosperity in coming year.
2. Summary of Our Project
Shehuo is a play for festivals. Its origin is that the Han people gradually add other square entertainments in Ceres activities. At the beginning, people called Shehuo as shehu, as one of the Han nationality folk sacrifice activity, it was gradually evolved into the spring festive entertainment. Longxian Shehuo originates from Song , Yuan dynasties. flourishing in Ming, Qing dynasties, and revival after the establishment of China. Through following reform on the century 80 and 90 times, Longxian Shehuo has now developed into a fixed facial makeup, costumes, props and acting time of the masses of the Han folk culture and arts and entertainment activities.
During the Spring Festival, people from village, factory and unit plays Shehuo. In Lantern Festival Every year in Longxian, the Shehuo play ,including more than 200 performance teams and four or five thousand role players, assembled in county. The streets and lanes were all decorated with lanterns and festoons, and the place reechoed with the sound of gongs and drums, attracting tens of thousands of viewers and visitors, and become one big landscape.

Our school is a vocational school.4 computer classrooms were built for education. The internet Speed at school is 10-megabit internet transmission, campus network was built. It is convenient to conduct discussions, data search, and print out documents in school.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
This is our first time to participate in the Webfare, we are very confused what to do and what kind of theme should be chosen. Thanks to the guidance of my teacher Li, let us think of the local folk art, we thought Longxian painted face at first, so we mobilized the students to collect some information, but we do not know how to make Webpage and carry out some related activities. We held a meeting once again when we were confused, some students put forward that we can do webpage about Shehuo, so we turned to the Longxian Shehuo information collection, celebrity visits, publicity materials manufacture and so on. We met a lot of troubles when we visited the folk artists, because of the economic tide, a lot of people have left home to go out to make a living, the older generation of artists are few, so it brought a lot of difficulties for our interview. On the other hand, it is our first time to participate in webfare, so we have no experience, the information about Shehuo show and painting is few, missed the Shehuo parade performance time, students were not able to experience the Shehuo parade performance, this is our regret.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
In this Webpage making competition, in order to show the Longzhou Shehuo art to more people, we visited old artist Yuan Jin, Yao Yuquan, and asked them to explain the Longzhou Shehuo to students, and guided students to learn to draw facial make-up. In school leadership support, the old artist painted face walked into our classroom, made our students understand the essence of Longzhou Shehuo. At the same time, through our interview, in the process of its development, with the leaving of older generation, some parts of Longzhou Shehuo have been nearly lost. In the peak period of Shehuo, step Shehuo has its own melody and tunes, but now the leaving things are only performing pantomime. So that most of the people always thought that Longzhou Shehuo is always showed as a pantomime form, anyway, Longzhou Shehuo ceremony included a part of the tunes, but with the old artist's death, nobody can sing song. It was a pity that we could not find the old artists who can sing songs.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Through visits to Shehuo, we have a more profound understanding for the Shehuo in our county. We hope to stimulate students' love for traditional culture through taking part in the activities, make the traditional culture into the classroom, I hope more students can act as Shehuo ambassador, trying to publicize Longzhou Shehuo, personally feel 'Shehuo' forms of art, so that folk art can be inherited. Students can apply modern high-tech to make the forms of Shehuo, make-up, song and spectrum can be preserved. Our descendants will see unusual simplicity and the beauty of nature one day which are created by ancestors in Longzhou.
