Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Taipei is the capital of Taiwan, which is prosperous, vibrant and crowded with bustling and hustling worker who might feel empty sometime. They may worry about the society and lose the motivation to move on. Teacher Hsing-Fu Hung uses his hands to care and feel the world. He devoted his whole life to the art of origami and morphs it into the arts and a scared mission, lie a language. He uses the art of origami as wonder to communicate with the world and turn it into another language tool.

2. Summary of Our Project

What accompany us when we were child are our parents and the storybook. There are wide diversity of storybooks and pop-up books which make those stories alive from page to stage. Beside those picture book, the art crafts are ubiquitous in our life. We really want to know who makes this imaginative world and make the dull paper beyond our imagination. For this reason, we want to know the master of the art of origami- Hsing-Fu Hung.

It is our great pleasure to interview with Hsing-Fu Hung in his studio. Besides, we can experience his presence and unravel his masterpiece which is scarcely witness by the people. More important is that he shared his life of the art and the process of his learning of the origami. We are all the beneficiaries of them. Through this project, the master will be the main character. We hope we can unveil the art of the origami through the project and unfold the story of one of the top young people in the Taipei city to the world.

The computers of our school use fiber-optic Internet connection to Internet, webpage and production data storage servers for its fiber-optic backbone network media, there are external 1Gbps connection speed. Campus network is also based on fiber-optic connections, most of the students use school facilities, Internet access to use the computer, mainly using school hours and vacation days to use the school computer classroom use of computers and network equipment; in addition to members of the family, the use of computers and more than half ADSL or fiber-optic network for internet connection, we will use the online conferencing system, discuss the topic together.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1?data gathering:The process of making the topic among the documents prepared in advance and assign each team member a job. After the company contacted Fufeng culture through telephone, we arranged an interview with Xinfu Hong guru and make sure place and time are settled. We flood to the actual studio teacher and witnessed paper art style, but on paper art impression of change, there is further awareness and understanding. 2.schedule control:Research progress of planning part of the topic, the teacher will develop a new daily production schedule, as part of the progress is slow day. We will take advantage of the day on weekdays after school reinforcement schedule to make usre the successful completion of the thematic content of the page. 3. Balancing the study and making project:While making the topic, the members have to pass the test. in order to allow the class members to smoothly pass certification exams, Tutor will the use of spare time to practice, so as not to delay the progress of both sides. 4. Assignment:Mostly according to personal expertise to distribute work items, in this way, we will greatly enhance the efficiency of making the project. Origami has its indispensable place in his life. We could say that origami and Master Xinfu Hong depends on each other. But, Master Xinfu Hong loves his family most. He has not only the love of origami, but also his love of others which is full of love for his origami and make it more closer to the people. This is why we love his works.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

teamwork To make a good topic, the team must rely on a division of contribution, we can do things more efficiently, making it six months after the topic, let us learn a lot of things, such as software tools applications, data gathering, as well as assignments and communication between team members, this is the spirit of the team, the production process will inevitably have different views of places, but after a discussion after each other and be able to find a solution review .

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

1.language learning and communication In the process of making this topic, there are a lot of pre-job preparation, such as questionnaire design, data collection, arrangement the meeting, the aggregated data, etc.. Through the process, members’s writing ability, web editing gradually are enhanced. In the course of every discussion, we often confronted disagreement among places. Members have learned to listen to the collar, the ability to communicate. During the interview process and interaction with Master Xinfu Hong, the members felt their ability to communicate has increased greatly. 2.IT courses Before you can nail down the topics, our most popular Internet are used. We have a lot of software to learn, when you are new to up some strange, unfamiliar software. The team members were able therefore to play along with the spirit of cooperative learning research and supervisor.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

When deciding to new rich teacher as the theme, we find many teachers of paper art works, exhibitions, education, and so on paper art from Fufeng cultural sites. Then they contact us by telephone to the MasterXing-Fu in our interview, we not only get valuable written, audio-visual materials, and more to feel Master Xing-Fu's sincere friendship. In addition, in order to play a good 'ambassador' role, more promotion of the Mster Xing-Fu's origami works. We have organized the paper art education in kindergarten, in the hope that can be applied to everyday life above paper art can be incorporated into the art and craft classes to enable children to explore the fun.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

There are a lot of paper-work and our lives, so we found the ten young Xinfu Hong teacher himself. We have only seen on the website or news coverage of his work, but for his background as well as more in-depth details of all quite vague, but through this special style web design competition opportunity for us to better understand the development of paper-Xinfu Hong Taiwan News.

To the most is the division of labor and the ability to train their own team who between interviews, both to explore the process of secondary schools in question. We develop interview skills, telephone contact, etc. Team members have the opportunity to learn, and the team with each other The co-ordination between and ideas, there will be a lot of conlict. But after discussion and ditch of unlock able to steal, we make production more efficient completion of the topic.
