Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Hualien Sheng-an Temple, the Federation of Queen Mother Religion, is located at No. 118, Tze Hui Third Street, Ji-an Village, Hualien County. It is also one of the most famous temple in Taiwan. Queen Mother Temple usually has strong incense. Every year, many people come to visit here and celebrate Queen Mother’s birthday on July 18. On that day, we can see drumlines, and dragon and lion dances. Next to Hualien Sheng-an Temple is Tze Hui Tang. Its building is designed of five linear arrangement with two-tier roof, cornices style, loft-style, etc. In the front of the building, there is a huge archway with an ancient color. The style is totally different from the golden temple, Teng-an Temple.

2. Summary of Our Project

Hualien Sheng-an Temple was established at 6:00 on June 13,1949. Now it’s one of the world's folk temple. In recent years, Hualien County has regarded it as one part of the major tourist trip in Hualien. Because it is located near our school, we will combine academic research and the resources around here. Therefore, we plan to take the students to have a tour of Historical sites and let them know more about Chinese culture.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We use the school computer resources,and Sony A65 digital still cameras.Programs using Html5,and Adobe CS6.Most importantly visits and oral interviews.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Most of the student ambassador,abd teachers are guided.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?
