Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

BeiDou Junior High School was located on warm, moist South of Changhua plain, approximately six hectares large, tree-lined, vibrant, many lush trees grow here. But in recent years, mass revolted by the Brown root disease on campus, many sturdy trees have fallen because of the disease. Also added for Brown root disease infected areas in many places, schools had less shade where grew, many perched on trees of small animals were forced to leave, campus chatter has gradually become desolate.

2. Summary of Our Project

BeiDou Junior High School surrounded by many trees, these trees accompany us to grow, we are always running under the big tree and dance, talk, shade, they play an integral role in our lives. Brown root disease threats to them now, we watched them fall one by one, have been uprooted, they can only become our memories! How should it be prevent more old trees fall? We wanted to understand the patron saint of the campus to investigate Brown root disease etiology, thinking about prevention and treatment approaches. These old trees left in the world, to keep shielding from the sun.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

(1) Don't know how to make a Web page (2) Who does not know looking for access to the content (3) Don't know how to organize data (4) Less you manipulate text files (5) Easy to confuse plant arrangement didn't work out (6) Sometimes I couldn't resist desire to play computer (7) Required data is not found (8) Too much data, I do not know how to organize better (9) A work finished, and next to do, and feel very tired (10) Web pages do not know how to render planning (11) too many photo,difficult to arrange (12) Time is running out, a lot of stress Difficulties encountered during this period, we ask the teacher, reading books, watching the Web works, a division of data, stick with the data processing, and try to learn how to make Web pages. If tired, go out and see the trees, blowing, or get something to eat to reward myself, everybody laughs, pressure relief, cheer each other, with a concept map teachers told us, confirmed the Division of labour, improving efficiency, helping our own review work progress and process.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

(1)Though be hard,We learned a lot of things. (2)Difficulty is certain, but not overcome, is our own, overcame liberated (3)Teamwork is very important, if you do not cooperate, there is no way to get things done. (4) do your best, waiting will not succeed. (5)Sometimes feel difficult, but do more, learn more, naturally can learn it.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Nine-year integrated curriculum based on the spirit of our teachers led by the use of information technology-assisted learning tools, extending environmental education learning, 'guardian North shade in' case studies let us make good use of information technology, such as computer, network, camera, let us in the age of information explosion, learn to respect and care for the surrounding environment.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We learned many Web development tips: learn to use the Dreamweaver First get into a new file, select HTMI Format and press OK, the picture to be compressed into jpg Format, and then use the properties page, click the background color, then word Save the document to your desktop, then open the Dreamweaver Article to be used word Document copying, done! Simply stated, we've been overwhelmed in the first place, after many times error learning, began to feel something doorways, hard and is such a sense of accomplishment .

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Visit all corners of the campus to collect data, our awareness of the campus environment and living organisms. 3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

When we observe some people on the campus of curiosity, what are we doing? 4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We also body recognize to around of some environment problem, trees of bubonic plague 'Brown root disease' caused many trees decaying fell, everyone are think very distressed, so we think should to from guardian North in the shade do up, protection they of Habitat to, also get many teachers of identity, also has teacher said if needs can launched fundraising healing sick of tree, certainly most important of is taught everyone love and correctly treats these tree. We are planning for the future can hold a tree-planting activity or speech advocates, invite more friends to learn the correct treatment and care of the tree on campus, do something for the environment for their own lives.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Most importantly throughout the process we deeply understand the importance of teamwork, we learn to do assigned work well, do you are good at part, contributing their effort, mutual encouragement, assistance, everyone on the team is important too!
