4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We have difficulties working together to make the webpage sometimes. It is difficult because we are all in different classes. This is like our extracurricular work that we need to do at home. But, we learn a lot from this experience.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

I have joined many competitions in Taiwan but didn't get a chance to join a competition like this. Writing a webpage is totally a new experience for me. If I didn't do well on this one, I believe I will do better for the next year's competition.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We had a international summit with Korean students in Taiwan. We have worked on this topic. Afterwards, we work on another project called APEC Cyber Academy. However, those projects are very different from this one. In this project, we need to provide more detailed information and students must have high language levels and I need to have more time to guide them.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

They have used computers, cameras, video taping or movie making and recording skills. They have learned a lot but not enough. Those tools are very helpful but students need to have a better webpage designing skills to make this page look better.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

They try to address to the world that our culture heritage in Taiwan is abundant but due to some political issues, our cultural heritage cannot be registered in the UNESCO so they try to use their own way to make the world know about Taiwan and make our cultural heritage sustainable.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We have held a summit with Korean students on this issue and we try to make the world know about Taiwan's culture heritage and people in our community will cherish what we have and make it known to the world.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Students have asked teachers in our school and asked other people about their opinions on culture heritage.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

They have discovered Taiwan is rich in its culture and we need to cherish it and tell the world about it. They learn our political difficulty in the world but we will not feel discouraged; instead, they should work hard and use their way to make our culture heritage known to the world.
