Shiraz is the capital of Fars province and one of the Iran metropolis and one of the most important tourist cities in Iran. Height of this city from sea is about 1500metre and it is located at the skirt of Zagros mountains. The legends has that Shiraz, the son of Tahmoras(a king of Pishdadyan dynasty) had established this city and the name of this city is retrieved from his name. The other narrative the name of this land was Shahre Raz which is called Shiraz in abbreviation. Shiraz in books and historical documents has various names such as Tyrasys, Shyrasys, and Shiraz. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1. Data collection: One of the biggest problems we had to overcome was that at first we did not know what information was needed. However, after teacher s communication, we had meeting with the team members, we decided on Iran traditional music and art and local cultural innovation as the center of our research topic. 2. Data analysis: After the survey, we encountered some problems in arranging the results on the website and presenting the charts. However, after consulting with out instructor, we had a better idea of how to do that. We all did our best to collaborate and finish our jobs. 3. Website building skills: Although all of the team members had previously taken a website-related course, to create a high quality interactive website with images and to achieve aesthetic oneness, instructions from advisors were necessary. 4. Research hours: To maintain our normal class times, the team used lunch breaks, club time and weekly class meetings to discuss the project and to build the website. After school, we overcame the problem of not being able to find a common meeting time by communicating and discussing the contents of the website via the Internet. 5. Project progress control: Although all of the members held high expectations for the Cyber fair project website, the lack of experience left us bewildered in the early stage as to the overall website layout or progress control. Thanks to the support and supervision by the advisors, we finished the respective tasks on time. 6. Transportation Because we had to travel from one city to the other and we had to have our teacher s time and her helping in this traveling

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Participation in local music and art made us to think judiciously about our country culture & also it was great learning opportunity for us!!! we are so pleasure that we had this opportunity achieve more information about our country culture & also alienate our experience to those who were less fortunate & didn't have the chance to contribute in this project.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

To give you a convenient search activities must be considered in the context of laws, to do this requires a good model to learn how to do, this pattern can be achieved through a curriculum or is achieved by ideas from previous projects. With the use of previous project can get familiar with how to work with good quality. It also utilizes the ideas of educational projects and programs we are spending initiative and discuss new ideas using creative. Deal with different ideas and offer attractive.igh quality work that is accepted

Of course technology has helped developed more advance in each major... we concentrate on technology to make a perfect research about our local music and arts... the most important and accession technology was internet that helps us to gain useful information about different cities . it cause to focus on Shiraz , its culture contains with local music and art.. we got more information with historic pictures and books, in another hand we spent distances for introduction the culture in different locations. The books we used: Bechtel Museum of Modern Art Bank of America University of North Carolina at Charlotte Davidson College Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company Queens University Goethe Museum Frankfurt DeKA-Bank Frankfurt Metzler Bank Frankfurt Individual Collectors (names available on request)

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

During our visits we actively piqued the interest of our subjects by being lively and showing genuine interest in the subject ourselves. This helped us get the most possible information from them and also to secure their help if needed in the future.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We have broken the barrier that was preventing students from working on international projects because our former projects were on school or province level. So we showed that with the teamwork we can do any difficult thing and we showed a part of our country and its local music. It doesn't impact a lot on our community but at least it impact on our parish. But we know that great things start with small things…

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Students and our friends helped us so that they found books about our field.1 2. We asked our parents to help us and tell us anything they know or remember from local music of Iran specially Shiraz. 3. In our school, the headmaster put the computers and the internet at our disposal and helped us to do this project in best way. 4. During the celebration that we made to show our work, students helped us and certainly our teacher helped us the most. 5. Also in Shiraz the some of the Instrumentalists on the stage showed us how they are using the musical instruments and playing music by them.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

When we started our project and until we have done it, we learned many things .we learned that how we can work together and do great and valued things. We felt teamwork and how we were able to adjust our time between our classes and doing the project. We learned how to use multimedia programs and Power point to show our work and we made website and improved it. We also celebrate and we surprised that many students attended and were happy. This is the first international project we did it is an honor for us
