1. Description of Our Community
Jin Zi Village locates to the south-east of the town, because there is temple called as Jin Zi Temple on the Jin Zi Ping, it is named as Jin Zi Village. The village has long enjoyed a good reputaion for its superior rice, allium chinensis, fermented soya beans, bean curd, wine fermented with osmanthus flower and za wine with its special production technology, and the pepper planting has became a scale planting.
2. Summary of Our Project
We create a new theme through practical survey, research and deliberation, and encourage the students to reflect their real thoughts objectively. We pay attention to the participation degree and process with the aim of having a train in the social practices. Especially for the new curriculum reform, great attention is paid to the development of the students’ practical abilities, and the comprehensive practices are classed as a compulsory class, among which the research study and social practice is the core of the curriculum. The students shall have a spontaneous research and personal practice to solve problems with a comprehensive use of their learned knowledge and experience. They should learn to study, and develop humanistic spirit and scientific literacy. During the process of practice, they will increase their knowledge and master certain basic skills about information technology, and try to enrich the content of the webpage.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
During the process of collecting materials and making webpage, we encounter a lot of difficulties. The special subject of this research is new village. At the very beginning, the materials is collected by a introduction of our parents about the changes of our hometown these years after the teacher assign the work, and then we search the related materials from the internet. In order to collect more related materials, we have to pay a visit and take photos by ourselves. When we finish the visit about the solar energy the first time, it is dark and we are fearful when we passed a winding course; and when we paid a visit to have an interview about the biogas digester, that villager was not at home after we arrived at his home, so we waited for more than 1 hour. At last, we did not get the related materials about biogas digester, but we have an interview of the previous village officer incidentally and learnt about the village’s development situation and the relevant rural policies. During the process of collecting, sorting and making the website, since the school network often drops, we have to perform word processing on the computer and then input it to the webpage after the network return to normal. In addition, this is the first time that we take part in such an activity after all, we know nothing about many things. Thus, the teachers have to teach us by themselves, and we learn a lot of knowledge with the guidance of teacher Ling and teacher Jiang, such as picture processing, how to have an interview, etc. Our teachers pay a lot of effort to help us fulfilling the webpage. Here, we express our great appreciation to them.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
The school leaders and teachers give great support to our activity. Through the interview by ourselves, we open up our eyes and our social practice ability is increased. By this special subject activity, we understand the saying “Where there is a will, there is a way”. As long as you have a faith and you dare to overcome the difficulty, you will succeed.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
The real purpose of quality-oriented education is to teach the student how to study, to live, to cooperate with others, to train the students’ humanistic quality, organizational coordination ability, practice ability, cooperation consciousness, to understand the local customs and international politics. With the new village as our research objective, we want to make an research through the changes of our hometown, the living condition, road and new energy, etc and the making of theme website to guide the students out of the traditional class teaching, we encourage theme to blend into the society to participate the social practice, so as to training their social practice ability, social adaptability and cooperative exploration ability; through the guidance of the director, to direct the students to perform simple special subject research, exploration and to experience the pleasure of exploration. Thus, during the research process, we expect the students can form correct outlook on life and value theory and learn how to cooperated with others, let them experience the changes in the villages in recent years through the interview and know that the material and cultural life level in the village has greatly improved and the farmers live a happy life, with the exception of displaying their research result in the form of website. We would like to make a propaganda for our hometown to let others understand the great changes happened in the western rural areas and welcome them to make development and have a visit in the western area.
