Qingxi Town is located at the western edge of Qingchuan County and lies in the upper reaches of Qingzhu River. It’s a town with a long history and rich culture. It has risen from its ashes and the reconstruction after earthquake has made it more beautiful. Qingxi has a history of over 1700 years. Hui and Han people in the town are getting along well with each other. It’s a town with rich culture and numerous historical sites. Here you can enjoy charming myths and legends, beautiful environment, abundant tourist resources, special foods, attractive culture of the Three Kingdoms and inspiring Red Army culture. During the three years of reconstruction, the emphasis has been put on the reconstruction of the Ancient City Wall, Wind-and-rain Covered Bridge, Mosque and Bell Tower. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome

With the past experience, the webpage making this year was relatively smooth except several delayed interviews caused by the rain. When we went there, we had to take farther but safer route because of constant aftershocks. Some people of minorities refused our interview because of misunderstanding, so we had to turn to local friends for help.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Through investigations, we have realized that Qingxi is an ancient town with a long history and rich culture as well as one of model towns for tourism in our county. It is also an important achievement of Zhejiang people’s selfless help after the 5.12 earthquake. Several days of interviews not only have broadened our knowledge and vision, but have made us truly experience the happy life of local people. Moreover, through interviews, we have gained stronger motivations in study, more specific life goal as well as more purposes in life. We are all determined to contribute to the development of Qingchuan when grow up.
