At the beginning of Qin, the country was divided into thirty-six counties, and actually, including present-day Huangyuan and the whole Eastern Qinghai was controlled by county Longxi at that time. Linqiang town was established in Shenjue two years (60 BC), Huangyuan is near from Qiang town and belonged to Jincheng. Cao Wei period, the county moved in North shore of Huangshui due to needs of military. Huangshui is an important tributary on the upper reaches of the Yellow River,' Han book' said that “Huangyuan is near from Qiang town and belonged to Jincheng, East into the river'. The meaning of Huangyuan is 'source of Huang river ', Kayue culture was found in Huangyuan which was left from The Bronze Age and 'Yangshao culture' was found in downstream of and Huangshui showed that Huangshui River as the same as homeland had a long and glorious history. Huangshui was located in key place, and it was a very strategic position from the ancient time.

As traditional folk art, every country in the world has folk arts, culture has no boundaries, whether the local government or community residents should protect, inherit and develop folk arts. Let us become traditional cultural promoters, to publicize the importance of traditional folk art. Let everyone protect it. Let the traditional folk art play its unique and charming role. And it will have its own space in the historical and cultural promenade.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We also encounter a lot of difficulties in the process of collecting material and making webpage. Traditional folk art is our topic this time, but it is very difficult to collect leather embroidery on the Internet at the beginning. To tell you the truth, we do not know there is folk art in hometown without this topic. In order to collect information, we have to visit and take photos by ourselves, the weather is good at the first day, but it was noon time when we reached Huangyuan occupation school. We found Qi technical staff for a long time, but workers were leaving except a few people were practicing. It was very cold when we went there at the second time, but we still did not find the heads of company. We heard that all of the heads had participated in local crafts exhibition to Chengdu, we were disappointed and returned. Luckily, the guide teacher helped us to contact Liu Qiong who was the headmaster in Xining woman occupation school, and we received some pictures through the email. Sometimes we had to delay the morning class because of collating information, some teachers will think we are bad students, but we will show outstanding achievements to the teachers and tell them we are excellent. During collecting, arranging and making webpage time, because the school is far away from the county, computer is often off line, so we use word processing on computer, we can put it in website after the network is normal. We should not only make webpage carefully but also study hard. After all, we have been students in grade eight, this year is more important for us, the learning task is heavier, it is also the turning point of junior school, we can't let down. Otherwise we will not be admitted to go to the high school next year.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

The project activities exercise our social ability through visiting on the spot, not only enriched the knowledge but also exercised capacity. The success of this activity makes me understand that the 'where there is a will there is a way', as long as you have faith, to overcome the difficulties, you must be successful. Also wish we can achieve good results in this project.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

In class teaching, we mainly study the knowledge of basic theory. We performed this study is mainly to carry on the social practice activity, we can connect the knowledge we learnt in school with social practice, collecting data and making webpage according to the knowledge we learnt; not only expending our horizon, understanding the history of leather embroidery, production process and its development foreground but also appealing everybody to pay attention to it. To support its development. Not only master the computer knowledge but also exercise our social ability. Although, we encountered some difficulties, we learn unknown knowledge previously, update our understanding of traditional folk art, through this project, we three people think that the school is lack of practical curriculum, we hope the classroom teaching and practical curriculum can perfectly complement each other. We will master more skills. All in all, this activity is a great helpful to us.

Sheepskin embroidery was a new craft deriving from the folk traditional craft that many people had no idea on it. During almost every visit, we had to explain to them in great length on the historical development. Being proud of owning such folk traditional craft, we were so pleased to do that. In the process of this project was completed, we deeply understood the importance of traditional folk art except enhance the ability of social practice and learnt some computer technology. We understood the development prospect and difficult of traditional folk art through investigation and study on the spot. Leather embroidery has its own beauty, but the process is complex, there were more than 70 acupuncture methods of the leather embroidery, and the people who are engaged in it is few, even though the company has publicized and trained several years, people still know little about it. Our survey found that except for the people who are engaged in leather embroidery, residents nearby rarely don't know this kind of folk art. We should actively give publicity to outside. Let more people participate in the protection and development of traditional folk art. Promote the importance of traditional folk art, let everybody pay attention to traditional folk art, it is more important that the local government can participate in it actively. Traditional folk arts will be charming only in this way.
