4. Problems We Had To Overcome
1.The difficulty of visiting artist. As the auditorium of “Lufeng Art Troupe” are full of people, the number of performance are about 1000 times in a whole year, which averagely they have 2 or more than 2 times of performance one day in the surrounding areas of the county. It brought us such a difficulty to visit him. So we only could contact with Lufeng’s father. We and our tutors started immediately as soon as we had his news. 2.The time is limited. We are all students of grade 6 and we are facing the entrance exam of junior high school. We have no spare time to settle down and design the web except the time of having classes. So we only use the rest time between the classes and weekends to finish web design. 3?The problem of network. Due to there are many users in school, the network speed is very slow. In addition, there are few computers have Internet access in the computer room, moreover, we also have computer lessons, so the time we can use online is very little.
4.The problem of using computers. As the students who participated in the Network Fair are from rural areas, they are lack of knowledge of computer and Internet. To solve this problem, the school principal specifically requested the school computer teachers and tutors to train us and give guidance for us.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
This is our first time to participate in the Network Fair, we don’t have too much knowledge, no experience, and no confidence, but we have firm faith of victory and 2 tutors who are very eager to learn knowledge. We experienced a lot in the 2 months, with our concerted efforts, we had overcome the difficulties we meet and gained lot of happiness. We not only saw the charm of “Duet Opera”, but also knew a persevering “Artist”.If we can broadcast “Donglu Duet Opera” in the Network Fair and let more people to understand this art by our little work, we’ll be satisfied.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
We use “Duet Opera” as main line, highlighting the “Grass-roots” culture, not only combined with history, art, culture, computer and social areas but also combined with local teaching. We used “Duet Opera” culture into our lesson “Root” and “Local Music” in my school, which can be learned in the class and let students understand this local native art of their hometown. In order to broadcast our hometown and the “Duet Opera” by the Network Fair, we participated in the contest and let other people know this art.
