It occupies a space of 3090 square kilometers , governing 57 towns and villages with a population of more than 670,000. In history, Jiange County was a bottleneck to enter into Shu(current Sichuan province), crowned as northern barrier and provincial conjunction . Jiange County boasts abundant tourist resources with national senic spot jian men shu road including Shaohua ancient City ,Niu tou Montain ,Jian men Pass and Cuiyun Corridor running through it .Currently, Guangyuan city is developing the three kingdom cultural tour with Hanzhong City.

2. Summary of Our Project

Many precious materials including historical heritages during the period of Three Kingdoms are around us . We grow up with many stories of Three Kingdoms. Meanwhile , Shaohua ancient City glowed again after cultivation and protection. Therefore , we hope to promote Shaohua Ancient City and Three Kingdom culture through this webpage design.

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:4-6

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):

We used separated computers to surf on the internet with ADSL2MB dial-up.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

The toughest thing for us was information collection . Since the old Shaohua Ancient City was not preserved well with many new sites on it because of the tourist development, we could easily get the information on the new sites but hard on the old city information. This made us feel urgent as we wanted more original historical information rather than those artificial ones. To solve this issue,we focused on the study on those remote older city lanes , instead of taking picture of those new sites. Local people offered us many help by telling many genune stories. Those old lanes , uneven roads , low houses and small steps which were baptized for several hundred years were the real historic heritage. County government also offered us many precious materials. With our common efforts, we got what we needed.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We were chinese people , harboring fine traditional culture. However, we felt gradually alienated from chinese traditional culture. Currently, the Ancient City was preserved with many sites rebuilt , at the same time, many old relics would never be sabotaged. We need to know more about the history and culture of our country.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We need to protect and record the historical heritage and arouse people’s concern on valuable resources related to hometown and traditional culture through this special thematic project. In this way ,wo could provide many materials for school and local curriculums.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our process of study, investigation and data collection of Shaohua Ancient City and webpage design exerted lots of influence to our classmates and local residents. It coule be specified as follows: 1,Our classmates became more interested in the Three Kingdoms history . Comic strips of Three Kingdoms attracted our classmates before , but they did not attach importance to thise Three Kingdoms heritage. Seeing abundant information collected by us , our classmates were surprised at it as in their eyes , Jianmen Pass , Cuiyun Corridor and Shaohua City have become a rich historical encyclopeadia . As a result , The Romance of Three Kingdoms and related books were all borrowed by students. Those students who toured Shaohua Ancient City and did not wish to visit it again went back to Shaohua City for touring it once again with a different perspective. They even said that they would love to visit it again as one time trip was never enough to tour all the corners of the city, 2, Influence on the local residents. The local residents lived a same routine with just different tracks with other villagers , working after sunrise and rest after sunset. The old stone road only produced less mud on their shoes. Facing the shabby and old houses , they wished to demolish the old and build a new . Facing the old brick walls , they wished to demolish the walls and repaire the house with bricks. The tourist decelopment in this area not only increased their income but their concious that those relics could not be sabotaged. We interviewed them and switched information with them after they told us what we did not know.In this way , they looked up to these heritege and recognized , cherish and protect these heritage from the cultural
