At first, because we picked up the wrong topic, we changed the topic in the halfway. Our progress was behind schedule. After full discussed with teachers and listened to their advice, we were getting on track slowly. After working hard in the winter vacation, we finally caught up with the ideal progress. A) Co-operation division of work: at beginning, we are divided into the first grade group and second-year group; however, because of the generation gaps, we had to try hard to communicate with each other. Even though there were still guarrels between us. B) Team Communication: At the beginning, only the second year of the total response in command, but because of poor communication, so we are not feeling very good. Conduction through the three stages .Teachers told to seniors, and they conducted us .So we can pass the missions indeed. C) Technical barriers Because we do not have enough students in the group of managing documents, we can’t hand in our scripts in time. So we tried to write the article with the students of technical group.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

By this opportunity, we understood our community more deeply, which also lets us learn many professional skills. We attain a lot of experience that textbooks will never give us.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

As a proverb goes, ' You can learn more by travelling a thousand miles than by reading a thousand books' To join International Schools Cyberfair is the best way to allows us to use knowledge in the true world . Because the word on the textbook maybe not realistic. At first, we are not familiar with the city which we live in. Fortunately, in the field survey activities, we get closer to local people, and everything. Each of the visit, we have enhanced the experience of self and communication, resilience and reflected on the hidden meaning, which couldn’t be attained in school.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Of course, the computer is the most important tool. No matter collating information, or writing articles and setting web pages we all rely on it. The cell phones and Yahoo Messenger are our communication assistants. In addition to this, cameras are indispensable. We use FLASH and NAMO to make animations, FrontPage and Dreamweaver to set web pages , Photo impact to make illustrations. All of them are supplied from schools.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We participated in the thematic studies, representing ambassadors of each community and to introduce it to the world. Topic we do is about the light scenes and green energy in Kaohsiung, so we introduce our night world with light scenes. Although light scenes consume energy, we also introduce much Green Electricity generation to tell everyone Kaohsiung is the city which loves the earth a lot.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our project including Geography, History, transportation, Art activities, scenic spots introduction, which will be showed with articles and pictures, helps people who read our articles know more about Kaohsiung. In the procession of making this project, we know that light landscaping is not only used for entertainment but also know it can make our city become more beautiful without heavy electricity consumption. Every times we plan by ourselves, act ourselves, so we are very familiar with every single road in Kaohsiung city. Eventually, we connect ourselves with the whole city. Because every interview we need to plan, act, we are aware that our local traffic road more.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

In our project, we interviewed Bureau of Public Works of Kaohsiung City Government and Tourism Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, they gave us much advice about what Kaohsiung City Government had gotten involved in light landscaping and environment protection, such as saving energy and reducing carbon. However, the one who helps us most is our teachers, the teachers gave us many suggestions, such as the color of our webpage and article content is good or telling us whether the article content is appropriate or not. We sincere thank all people who have helped us.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

During the process, we have learned so many skills to get along with others, such as: the division of group members how to effectively integrate the views. We have also had conflicts, but we learned to communicate with each other and express our own views. In this participation, the emotion among the members has become strong gradually, so we not only accomplished this goal, but also grow a lot.
