Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

the zengjiashan scenery area locates at the Guangyuan Chaotianqu which is the intersection of Qinbananlu and chuanshan, governs six townships and two towns, 70000 people, the average elevation is 1400-meter, the total area is 518 square kilometers, the round-off work is 74%, the geological landscape is unique, enjoys the laudatory names of “the limestone cave kingdom”, “the hoodoo hole township”. The yearly average temperature is 12?, the average temperature of summer is 23?, the average temperature of winter is 6 degrees below zero, is a traveling leisure paradise of summer vacation and enjoying snow in the winter.

2. Summary of Our Project

Zengjiashan is the summer resort which Guangyuan tried to make, it has exquisite natural scenery and the unique folk culture, the counter-season non-environmental damage vegetables are sold in distant markets inside and outside Sichuan. This activity mainly carried on beneficial visitation to Zengjiashan’s natural scenery, folk culture and rest and recreation these aspects, intended to propagandizes Zengjiashan, let more people understand Zengjiashan, entered Zengjiashan in the hot summer and have a vacation here, thus drew the provincial economy to be developed well and quickly.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

When we receive Mr./Mrs. Yuan’s notice, we are excited and afraid. Had the opportunity to propagandize our hometown make us exciting, what was afraid is to do the interview. Then playing is smooth, on-line collection material is also very satisfied. But the interview work actually make us worry, because we do not dare to do it, in addition several aunts did not accept our interview, it is good that they are warm, we have achieved the interview purpose finally. However all these passed very quickly, we have written our experiences down, made it to a homepage, believed that our pay will obtain everybody’s appreciation.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

This activity makes us benefit greatly, we played in chuan hole hut and shishunping, have appreciated the beautiful natural scenery, have more understanding to our hometown; Simultaneously learned to communicate with people, learned to search material in the network. Through two-month-long endeavors, we have collected massive material, began to manufacture our homepage, thanked the CISS system gives us help. Although the homepage is rough, some places are unsatisfactory, but everybody is very gratified when we saw the final “achievement”.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Through this activity, “dream tomorrow” 's 4 students learned to gain information, process information and reasonably use information from the net, raised the computer operational level greatly; In the actual interview process, they learned to exchange with people, have learned cooperation, learned to seek help, exercised the guts, also exercised the oral expression;

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Hardware equipment: Computer, digital camera, scanner, U plate, minute book. Computer software: The Dreamweaver homepage edition, Photoshop picture processing, Microsoft the Word, flash animation, Internet Explorer browsing, the ACDSee picture browsing, reduces, the Ftp transmission material. Website network: The cross net passes, email, website forum, FTP Server, the ADSL broadband networks, CISS template.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

In the process of playing in the spot, they passed through the nature test, understood the nature mystery, thus love their own hometown more deeply. Through this activity, students had a more comprehensive understanding to Zengjiashan’s tourist resources, saw Zengjiashan’s immense changes which occurred in the comprehensive construction affluent society, stimulated schoolmates to resolve to study, aspirations and high ideals to construct hometown.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Propaganding Zengjiashan, let more people understand Zengjiashan, entered Zengjiashan in the hot summer and had a vacation here, thus drew the provincial economy to develop well and quickly.
