In the western Han there is a Qiang county, for more than two thousand years. Then became a famous inn in the Silk Road and a place of strategic point in Tangbo ancient path. There were pavilions, channels, stations, castles and even princess took carriage to the west which is a beautiful tale in Riyue mountain and monks came to the east and built Dongke temple and people from different groups doing trade in Dangeer town. The theme of our case studies is customs in Hehuang. The istinctive geographical location and centuries of commercial trade, created a colorful ethnic culture, so that Danger is a town mixed of commerce, military, religious. We have photographed, interviewed, collected information and studied the history, attractions, environment development and protection here, and during which we have received a lot of supports from the promotion department of Huangyuan County and community management staffs, and we therefore have a lot of material. We use Web sites to express our praise for hometown and also train the cooperation between teachers and students. We have always stuck to the theme of 'visiting • feeling' and finally we hope that through this competition we can share the history, customs and natures of Hehuang with friends from all over the world as well as share our success, lessons and happiness.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:less than 20

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:1

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:dedicated connection

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:2-3

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Our school and families are using ADSL Internet access. Among the nine members, only three instructors have the Internet access condition at home. The internet in students computer room, where there are 40 computers, is unstable; only in the teachers’ office can it relatively unobstructed access. Therefore, much of the content in the website are mainly completed by the computers in teachers’ office.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Although our strength is still weak, we have to pass this power to the Hehuang companions. Months, in order to achieve our common goal, we lost a lot, but we get more!

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The purpose of this activity is to let students go out the classroom, learn from the real life and his living environment and use the knowledge that learned from the books to their own practice, which is of great significance. We should cultivate the students’ independence and autonomy and guide students to question, investigate and explore. Students under the teachers’ guidance learn more actively and have their own personalized learning style. We should provide a rich educational environment to the students’ study and development. Therefore, our study of this topic is to give students a great opportunity to practice and use of knowledge of opportunities. Moreover, it allows students to learn the knowledge and experience that can be hardly learned in the textbook.
