Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

It is located the southern end of inner Mongolia highland, the northwestern area, joining the tianzhen town and xinghe, shangdu, zhangbei,wanquan and huaian in the east and south. The average height is 1300 and 41 degree, enjoys the good sunshine. The average radiation is 139.027, which is the biggest part of the sunshine. It is the wind season with the rainfall as 350-420mm, mainly on the june, july and august. The day without the frost is 100-120 days, all years wind.

2. Summary of Our Project

Youmina is the product in the heibei bashing, which is rare in the world, it enjoys high nutrition, 7 times than powder. Which it is the ideal food for the sugar, heart disease.

One server and 30 computers. ADSL 2M for internet. The member seldom go to the internet. Our activity is in the classroom, we can see the details in the internet.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

In this activity. We work on it to overcome, showing the cooperation. Through youmian, we learn the knowledge and further knowing about the homeland special product. At the same time we know more about the labor, we will work more harder to publicize the homeland.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

During the research, we mainly collect materials in free time. We have developed the abilities of interviewing, cooperation, writing and computer-related. At the same time, we also add the substantial content to the school-based courses.

We get in touch with the characters by interviewing or ringing them up.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

In the research we interview with many people. Know more about the youmian, containing more nutritions and preventing the disease, it is more important that the youmian is rare more and more farmer will plant.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Of course, we won’t be successful without the help from different aspects. We gather a great deal of materials from the local peasants. The cooks in school show us how to cook local delicacies. Besides, the teachers provide us with much translation.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Through this research, we find that the old farmers don’t know about the ingredient about the youmai, just for the mouthfeel and habbit. Through the talking, many old man are surprised that: youmian is a good thing. Some are working on the plan and hope we can come again. In this activity, we gain that cooperation and respect from the teachers and students.
