Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Tianzhu zangxian is located at the western china, the eastern end of the hexi corridor, yong deng county to its south , jingtai county to its east, wuwei and gulang to its north and sunan county to its westnorth, menyuan, huzhu ledu county to its west, with the 142.6 km from east to west and 158.4 km from south to north in total more than 7000 km square. It is belong to wuwei city in gansu province, covering 5 towns, 17 county and 221 village and 4 citizen committee. The government is located at the huazang temple town. Inside the area the climate is complicated, with the average sunshine time 2500---2700 hrs. with the hails and frost and dry happens.

2. Summary of Our Project

Tianzhu baihaoniu is the treasure and magic kind, with the main area is fur and tail hair, even the tails is the treasureable export things. According to the textile, we actively work on the breed to select the quality for improving the quality of fur and hair.

since 1999 and 2001 we build two computer classroom, in 2003 all teachers has the laptop, and providing the electronic screen and digital scanner, amounting the 360 computer in the school, the local area is done. And other new 2 classroom is 10:1. on ladder classroom, multi purpose room and facility come to a new height.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

There are several points in the process of the webpage making: 1) the time is tight, and hard to take the details 2) hardly get understand from the school and parents, many people thought that we should not do something other than study, 3) limit the fund, we need to go deep to the village to interview, we are not that rich, so big pressure.

We try to get the time to interview and then join the students into our group to finish the work.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Through the webpage making, we feel the tianzhu baihaoniu is not only the food but the hope. Though we want to make the webmake to let more people know the future, with all the limit, we fail to do that, but with this experience, we trust that all the students will concern about the ox and homeland development and building.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We are all native, hoping one day we may do something for tianzhu, through this match we have such chance and thanks to town and talent. We want to take this chance to let others know and develop it.

in making the webpage, all the tools are borrowed from the director, the school’s facility is not enough, but receiving the great support. we thanks them

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We make the full prepareation to decide all the plan, we want to make the people interview. We make the appointment and then interview. Like in the tianrun company we have to clean before interview.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Tianzhu ox concern the whole county, we hope we can let more people know it through this match.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

In the process, the leaders and teachers gave us big support, and big help from the farmers and company.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Through this match, we find we know not deep, especially the xueyuzhenbao. We before just know it is the ox, no idea about the ox itself. In the learning, we should know more about the things around.
