Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Riyue mountain is at the combination of the huangyuan county and honghe county, 40 miles away from the county, the top is 4877 meters. In Tang dynasty, it is named as the red mountain, from the red sand. It belong to the western area of laji mountain, Qinghai lake from the north and erhai to the east. Huangzhong qunjia at the south, in nearly ten miles. Riyue mountain is the division of Qinghai eastern river and inland river, the natural line of the agriculture and livestock. Here enjoys mountain, cool climate and heavy rainfall. There are tow site along the mountain. The western area is full of grass, in great ox and sheep. The eastern area is full of the village and farmland. In every june and sep, the slope is green with all the tent and flowers. It is the combination area of central culture and grassland culture and multi-people gathering. So all the people gathers here.

2. Summary of Our Project

It is named for its beauty mountain color, shape, name, and story. The theme is her history and contribution. We mainly take the pictures about her site, environment and development and protection, in which we come to the town and talent. We get the big support from the local community and company. We get plenty of the material. We thanks the nature can give us beautiful homeland as well as the cooperation. We keep the them and hope we can share our success. Let it go to the world.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

Our internet is not good, we are in the village only part of us can go the internt. So most part is done in the teachers home. Till 2008-10-26 the school is available to the internet. We can only take the noon time to finish the work.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

First, owing to the internet is not through, the collection of the details was damaged. And then, we have no experience about it. The teachers from town and talent Mr. Li and other people help us to know. And then the time is tight, the activity time is lack, especially students’ time. we need to prepare several days and lack of fund and dead computer. We are willing to join. Policy: we edit at home, and then search the details, share in the school to improving the efficiency. The students and teachers work extra time and then to make up the loss of the details. And then we actively catch the support to the school. the director donate it and collect the money. Feeling: using the internet resource and try to use the software. Before the activity, we are all happy to arrange.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

It is not only the beautiful area, but also the development of Tibet and han culture. We need to protect her and the culture. We not only show it to the people but also dig the culture to enrich our land. Though our power is small. We have transferred to the kids, since the month, we lose and gain more.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

According to'deepening the educational reform and fully improving the quality education' the Chinese teaching and culture. In the education, we need to pay more attention on the students independence and activating, leading the question and investigation. In the practice, we should activate the teachers to study. With the social economy development, the educational reform, info-tech apply at the teaching promoting, activating the combination of the info-tech and schedule, taking the full advantages of info-tech and providing the colorful study and powerful study tool. The school should use the library and other facility, to enrich the students exploration and using the local character to widen the horizon to love homeland. This time we take the riyue mountain as the main theme and then not only combine the history, geography, art, culture, computer and social activity, is displayed with the background of the new class. Not only enrich the knowledge, but also develop and popularize the directors, feeling the knowledge in his behave. In the process, all are happy to do. Especially 5 students interview., making the all the details, they have the same feeling that, the Chinese culture is so rich that they are the burden for everyone.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

In the campus: we start from 2008-9-3, keep the activity every week and put it on the board, so the whole school start to know the webpage match. Info tech classroom, students saw the unfinished webpage, along with the surprise, more and more want to join. The school develop 2-3 local classes, to cooperate. This activity not only gain at the literature, also has the geographic and historic knowledge. Local: all the people ask our activity and purpose, more and more join, I trust with the final finishing and uploading, more and more will make the active effect.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

1,through this activity, our computer has get the quality over, more important is that more and more people start to understand the value and sense. After the interview, we have new knowledge. 2,In the activity, students learn to communicate and cooperate. We never thought about it. 3,More importantly, in this activity, our staff and teachers feel the charm of history and the protection historic relic. We hope we can make it more beautiful and more popular.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Thanks to Mr. Zhangchengliang of Beaurau,who providing the certificate. Thanks to Mr.An yongfa ,the officer of the charger,who connecting the interviewee. Thanks to Mr.Liguoquan, minister of popularity, who providing the detail and picture. Thanks to Mr.Chen youcang, the editor of huangyuan county in Qinghai province, who talking the mountain story and part site and legend. Thanks to Mr.Lvqing, Mrs He xiaosong and Mrs Lizhihua of town and talent, who providing the tech support. Thanks to Mr.yinchengzhong, the charger of riyue mountain, who developing the riyue mountain. Thanks to local merchant farmer, who talking story and local culture to us.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Finding: through the activity, we find the time is lack and spirit, and the condition is backward. We meet the difficulties in the communication. We have to go on. Lesson: lack of fund affecting the activity. Surprising: hall and ting is worthy to research.
