Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Our school is located at the songhua district in shouan town pujiang county in chengdu city Sichuan province. taking bus from xin nanmen, through chengya highway, it only takes 30 min, about 5 miles to the west. The school is located at the big and small mianshan, closely facing to the linxi river, nealy 20 miles to pujiang county.

2. Summary of Our Project

Locating at the chengdu plain southwest, pujiang county has many special foods, corn sweet is one of them. It is said that it has more than 200 years, the special artwork is mixing the pig oil and vegetable oil, all the candy not only enjoy the pork oil but also the vegetation oil, it looks like the white. Now, it is know both home and abroad. We hope more and more people will start to know and share.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1: tight arrangement of the time. self-study in the 6:50 in the morning and 9 :00 at the night. Mr. Liu is the monitor, in charge of the school office’s works. In Oct, she also is in charge of the students sleeping. So we can only use the dinner time to do a little bit, mostly at the weekend. 2: overcome the difficulties. Owing to the far away, from the factory, we can only interview at the weekend. We rush in the Saturday morning, Mr. Liu load us to the factory, but can only load two people, so we can only go by two. In the afternoon, we rush back for our homeworks. 3: contradiction on time: we can only go to the factory at the weekend, also it has the holiday, some one day and some two days, so sometimes we cannot know too much and then go back.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Plan goes before the investigation, outline goes frist than everything. We need to be wise for the process of investigation and other valuable things.

If our webpage are saw, they will know more about the pujiang and love our product, our research will surely work for the economic development.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Through our investigation, we found that, pujiang mihua not only loved by the local, also sell to the distant product. Mihua candy also activate the link industry, the mihua play the role for tourism.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
