Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Tianzhu zang group county locates at the western china and east of the hexi corridor, which is under the gansu province wuwei city. It has over 5 county, 17 town, 211 village committee and civilian committee. Its county government is a the huazang temple town, 144 kilometers to capital lanzhou to its southeastern and 132 kilometers to wuwei city to its northwest. The temperature are very complicated in the land which is the cold highland temperature. The economy is related backward, especial the shepherd income and village education.

2. Summary of Our Project

The western life is in low level and the backward education. The main purpose is to show the real face of the Chinese mountainous backward education condition to let more people know the western education and the biggest hope of our kids. In our greedy society currently, we we can let more people get the truth, memory and tender by our effort. We also hope to bring the future to the mountainous kids.

after building the 2 pc computer room in 1999 and 2001, we give a portable pc to our teachers. And we also hang a electron screen every classroom and purchase 13 digital projecitoner. In 2004, we worked with the communication department to hang the wire into the campus to build the local internet. we also built two 2 pc rooms with more than 360 sets with the portion as 10:1. we have a new ladder classroom, a multiuse hall, and 2 video room. Our teaching by electron steps forward.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

In participates in this activity we to meet is difficult is the time insufficiency most greatly. This is because the high school stage's study duty is heavy, goes out the time which interviews to be tight. In order to solve this difficulty, we must complete the careful preparatory work before the interview, only then may complete the task which each time interviews.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

I grow up the county and know little to the mountainous area. Through this activity, we learn the hardness from the kids there and was moved by their diligent. They teach me what is the meaning of cherish.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Participates in this activity to be helpful to the school multimedia curriculum developments, is helpful in the information technology and other curriculum conformity.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

When we make the webpage, the tools involved are borrowed form the school by our directors. Though lack of appliance, the school also gave us the big support. We would like to express our sincere thanks. Video: Camera,Scanner Communication: Veichle ,Bike, Cell,telephone Details collecting: Portable pc,pc, photoshop cs2, Dreamweaver, Meeitng sound and meeting video 9.0

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

we fully prepare before interview. We settle down the main plan to ask the teacher to appointing and interviewing by the member.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

The western life is hard to difficult to go to school. But there is a bright smile in their face and sincere hope. When people are deprived of the rights to receive the education, they are crying . we just hope the people from all walks to help them to realize the wishes.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

during our making, we receive the big support form the school and teachers. All the interviewee give us big support from the leaders, parents and units. We would like to say thanks. Thank you for your help.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Through this homepage manufacture, we discovered we child goes to school is really not very easy, their present situation has deeply shocked our mind. Rural economy's backwardness, has accomplished their present situation. We in the school study, should treasure each minute, uses each minute in the study, hoped that in the future one day to be able to have the opportunity to have the children who ability will help and cares about the countryside.
