Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Song-Shan District is located in southern area of Taipei city. It is in the middle of Keelung liver and Tai-Lin-Tou mound. In this area, there are Tin-See, Than-Gun, Gual-Juan & etc. These were the locations of Kael-Tart-Ger-Lan Malot-sigauan. In Chinese, they called 'Mali Jer Guo', 'Mou Lee Gee Hou', or 'See Guo'. The 'See Guo' it means the turn area of the river in Chinese. 'See Guo' street was developed into one of the major areas of Taipei city after hard working of ancient people.

2. Summary of Our Project

The 'Goddess of Sea' Temple It was built in Song Shan district 1753 of Taipei city. It occurred a fire in 1981, and all buildings were almost destroyed. But only the sitting of 'Goddess of Sea' and other gods were not hurt. Even the doors of the 'Eyes God' & 'Ears God' were not got any damages at all. This made people feel that it was protected by 'Goddess of Sea'. And it made the followers became more and more in a very short time.
