1. Description of Our Community
Located in the north-west of the island, Taoyuan is the second largest city in Taiwan. In the early days, the city was called “Hu-Mao-Jhuang.” Then the residents here planted peach trees at the rim of the beautiful village, and therefore, the previous name “Hu-Mao-Jhuang” was substituted to “Taozaiyuan.” For this reason, the flower known as the symbol of Taoyuan is the peach blossom, in another common word, ”Tao-Zai.” The person we are going to introduce is the one who established the wonderful Min-Sheng Healthcare system in Taoyuan area, and also the one who called himself as “The son of Taoyuan”- a really good person, neighbor, and doctor - Min-Sheng Yang .
2. Summary of Our Project
We’ve never been so touched until we got to take a look at Ming- Sheng Healthcare and its fringe benefits brought to the residents here in Taouyan City. Min-Sheng’s legendary biography of founding hospitals, being a nice doctor, and his motto “One aims for the far future!” have really cast a glamour on us. So, we decided to introduce this kind, localized doctor to the whole world. We’d like to spread and share his success and philanthropies worldwide. We even hope that his story will be a precious experience, positive example and also such a strongly fresh, new power for everybody to follow.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
(1) Time pressure We are all students in junior high school, and therefore the limit of time could always be a difficulty to us. We not only had to deal with the schoolings in school, but also the homework in cram schools. However, doing the project is a big pleasure to everyone. We spared time to complete the missions, for example, break during the lunch time and holidays to get together for the meeting.
(2) Difficulty on contacting we have many different kinds of tools to help everyone contact with each other. For instant, e-mails, cell phones…etc. Sometimes we don’t have time to contact with the secretaries, but fortunately, we have many kind volunteers to do the touch for us.
(3)Difficulties during the interview process To express our sincerity, we did our best to interview the person with all the members in the group. However, most Yang’s friends and employees are doctors or really famous people, their schedules are usually very busy, which made it more difficult to finish the interviews at the best time. We also get to consider whom to ask and where to have the interview. We want to have correrct data, so it’s necessary to prepare all the possible questions beforehand. We’ve learned how to make good use of our time with the best efficiency.
(4)Traffic problem We used the particular resources in Taoyuan~ the free buses, which saved a lot of time and money. Besides, we have some kind drivers in our voluntary group too.
(5)Difficulties on technical tools When having the interviews or refining the photos, we didn’t know how to edit or show it properly. Fortunately, we got to grab some help from the teachers and some of the tools like MP3s, cameras, Photoshop…etc to finish the web and show some of the pictures in the best way.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
We would never find that there’s such lots of problems until we got to discuss the issues deeply. Finally, we beat the challenges with our brains and that could be a really big chance to everyone who engaged in the CyberFair. We all got touched by President Yang’s great spirits-the passion to sacrifice, to care, to spread love and to warmness to everybody in the society. With the faith in our mind-What is taken from the society should be used in the interests of the society, we’ll strive to do our best and share things done by this good doctor with each person in the world.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Our research fits the follow curriculum standards: First, students search for resources to share with other students from either the Internet or other outside materials, not just learning things from the text books. Second, students are willing to participate in artivities that help improve English abilities. Third, it helps students broaden students’ global view.
