Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Kaohsiung is a mark out complete and modern city. But there are still many old pickers in the city. They depend on reclamation and recycling to barter for rewards. From right side to see, they do recycling makes the earth can retain more energy. But from other side to see, the recycling at will to amass also relative forms another contamination and dengue fever questions. How can acquire balance between recycling and environmental protection? Making garbage to cut down and streets environment nice are Kaohsiung people really need to deep thought these important subject of debates.

2. Summary of Our Project

Science and technology civilization brings convenient life, however, at the time of people spending lavishly living, the garbage problem also follow. In the past, the garbage always let the person avoided three sheds, think they had no use, but at the time of the Earth resource reducing gradually, found to among them have many is value that has the rebirth of give a new life, can through the means that be recycled, let the Earth that us live kept on to emerge the brilliance of the vitality. Environmental protection is current important topic, through this special subject research; make us have another a concern to' the resource recovers'. Let us cooperate with this great project together, infuse into the new chance for our beautiful new home.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

(1). Scavenger elder the brush-off answer, data is not enough, the web page technique problem … etc. Is all our most displeased place, but from time and time again of in the failure, the method and everyone that learn to manufacture the web page technique and communicate with others how share out the work and cooperate with one another to collect the data. (2) Just start all don't understanding greatly to the manufactures of the web page, but teach and guide through the teacher, asking the benefit devotion time to grope for the effort at everyone's open mind under, can complete smoothly finally; For the native language, we all will say not too, Just start also causing with Scavenger communication of difficulty, through the righteousness work the parent helps, dissolving it on the whole, although process in various difficulties all are testing us, we rely on the team spirit but also overcome time and time again, keeping till the last, the whole memberses acquire the surprised result hard.

(3) In addition, our team's also meeting member of team's time can't match with each other, and hold up the affairs of the degree of progress and route of travel, however, everyone also because of thus, even make concerted effort after examining of into division of lab our, can make to carry on the degree then more perfect.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

1. The relation ship between our school and our new homeland

St. Paul's High School always pays great attention to the environment protection. Teachers always tell the idea of environment protection not only in classes but also in lives. The school is really serious in school sanitation, especially recycling. Because of teachers requests, students would never forget that recycling is very important. This research makes us understand the main idea of recycling deeply. Also, it tells us that recycling is very important to the environment protection. Eventually, students become more active in environment protection. 2. The cooperation of members. We went to the library to find the material. Also, we asked the opinion of some parents and some people in the streets. We did all the research together. We believed that one person could not make the research perfectly. We divided the work equally to each group. Every group members did an excellent job by cooperation.

Also want to make besides some since can help to learn again thing of attracting the teenager, such as: Television drama, cartoon......Etc., also need to teach how them are the garbage categorizes or some knowledge on the environmental protections, can thus and not only help the teenager learns quickly, can also attract they, increase their environmental protection concept.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

This subject makes us learn many things, realize responsibility, make good works of our own, and do plans before. However during the course we met a lot of setbacks, but we thought up a method to break through very hard, but it was still a long way to go, so we should improvement own’ s shortcomings. We believe this sentence ?Diligence is the means by which one makes up for one’s dullness.? After passing through the teacher’s teaching and scolding, we will have to study hard and do everything by heart. Moreover, we know we do so not to get good grades, and to get better understanding, whether we win the prize or not, we have to try our best to do things. We know more the importance about the environment from this subject. Meanwhile, We also understand how to get along with our members, how to be responsible.

This is what we learn from this subject and we believe we will be able to correct everyone’s defect to understand our own merits.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

(1).We through visit in person, the E-mail and telephone come to communicate and contact with the others, original we never know ten sad tears of bloods of the picker backs, visit through many times, we understand more or stories, although among them met a few difficulties and difficult problem, they also all our do for and touched, therefore warmhearted match with, we by the telephone and letter to contact them, tell they our intention why, or ask they are some concerning recovery of problem, thank them very much can the enthusiasm help we, just make us be able to reach once and again and smoothly. We gather news they meanwhile, they also meeting very is enthusiastic about to tell we concerning the method that the resource recovers, and provide the related data of the recovery, remember we have to go the free on the road once of a resource recovers field, the owner do not only be enthusiastic about to explain in detail with us, also taking the certificate of their license and government, altogether have 3 pieces, thank them very much to explain in detail for us, we also understand a few resources recovery method there.
