4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1.Internet/computer equipment The computer& Internet equipment of Chang-an is flawless, except of area-net work and the web site of teachers make much convenient, the hardware systems are also very well. And the digital camera, scanner, digital sound-recording pan and digital video-recorder are very good helpers! But, all of us are not well-trained, how can we use these high-tech equipment? At first, all of we are excited and frightened by those tools. In fact, there’s too many mistake that create a great number of junk files…make us don’t know whether to laugh or to cry… laugh by companions is better, if the machine break down, that serious responsibility is unable to carry! However, after grope for them in cautious, all of us can use them very well, maybe this is another great experience to us! 2.Time There’s an excellent phrase: “Time is money”. All of us know time is rare, but , facing double pressure, this is the most unmanageable problem. As we’re constructing our web site, we also have to handle our homework…may be we should pray for double time. But the god is fair…everyone only have 24 hours a day. Each of us has own job to do, it’s very hard to pick up time for discussion. But, all of us have adamant will, there’s nothing to stop us. We finally overcome this problem. 3.Schoolwork Score to the students just like salary to adults. Not only to achieve our own criterion. To win the appreciation of parents, teachers and many others, good achievements is the way of highest efficiency and probability. But, to keep our study achievements when we’re constructing web site, is also a serious problem that taichi youths have to solve. During this period, we’ve go through many big examinations. Constructing web site lessen our study time. To avoid our competition ability be lower, we must study more carefully, hardly and to grasp the most important point. Fortunately, our names in competition are still at high position. In fact, two of us are still on top (Tina Hsu on first, Adam Li on second.). By the way, there’s another thing deserve to be mentioned. Linda Lin, whose parents oppose to let her join us, trying to win her parent’s confidence by improving her studying result. Except of reasoning her parents down, she also studies very hard—I always see her readying hard even when we’ve finished our class. What an admirable person! Although her ability is not the best, a person who can insist on our work is very valuable!

5. Our Project Sound Bite

It's a great chance of learn, all of us feel that we're dealing with the whole world.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Q1.How did this project fit into your required school, district, or state curriculum guidelines? A: “Tacihi” is a kind of martial arts and it’s also a good way to strengthen our body. There’s even some graceful temperament in it! Beside discovering the mysterious Taichi, as our school organized a dancing class, our other plan is to combine the sturdiness of Taichi martial art and the gentleness of dancing and create another “image of grace” for Taichi. Q2.What new skills did you learn? We have learned how to gather data, using digital camera, digital recorder, digital sound-recording pen, scanner and the skill of designing web pages. Furthermore, we’ve also learned some basic concepts of photography, and our ability of editing passages improved, too. Q3.How do you better understand specific ideas? The interview of Wu Yi-chi let us know that to be successful, we should not only be good at some skills, but also trust ourselves and insist the things we’re doing are right. If we’re on the right way, we don’t need to shrink back, and just live up to our goal. Q4.Has using the Internet for teaching and learning been more effective than traditional methods? If so, explain? A:Yes, in the process of constructing our website, the Internet make it more convenient to gather data and transmit information, and can avoid the misunderstanding caused by talking.

Teacher Jang Wen-lan helped us most. She gathered us and suppported us by her information equipment like digital still/video camera. Teacher Lin Yu-chang is the team leader's mother. Teacher Lin Kuo-chin is maybe the teacher who can use computer the best in our school, his teached us skills using Photoimpact, Frontpage and many other stuff. By the way, parents offered transportation regardless of any bad weather

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

We discovered the beauty of traditional Chinese martial art, The lesson we’ve taken this time is to upload data ordinarily, not to upload all of them near the deadline! We’re surprised by the broadness and deepness of Taichi.
