1. Description of Our Community

The You Chang includes the Guang Chang, Fu Chang, Xing Chang, Jian Chang etc. mile, the clear Cheng hour calls' You Chong', is a right blunt town the assart. 2. Summary of Our Project

We worked in the common computer lab at school and connected the website by ADSL. But after school, we used our own internet facilities. Although some of us have good transition facilities such as broad band, some still used the outdated and slow transition facilities.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Because everybody has the tacit understanding cooperation early, without some unfamiliar and estranged feeling, communicating the comparison and can be efficient, the opinion also can spit it out, as long as is a good-looking method to absolutely adopt, can't the only one person enjoy the big power only. We regard cooperation as the target, actively enterprising, however total have the bottleneck and difficulties to obstruct in the in front.Just start, our degree of progress compare with the other set and have to have another late, plusing difficulties and time of the senior high school lessons to have no way concert up, causing some times we wanted to give up; However, this have been our dream:There is day can let we of result announce to appreciate for everybody, acquire the encouragement and affirmations.The first time finds out, greatly keeps in mind a heart for jumping like sparrows to go to visit, the process is also very smooth.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Although this is the first time we take part in the competition, we still try our best to stay calm and hope to make a contribution to our community. After working on the project, we were aware of the things which we may ignore before. It also provided us lots of chances to train our writing and programming skills. Moreover, we are able to introduce the community and its specialties to people through internet.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Through us this attend the game, everybody collected very many data, experiencing a lot of thing personally, being much more than only the pen to do the painting or appreciate the insight up, still having many backgrounds;The technology is not also what we imagine such simply, the each invention all have it the difficult places that produce, very small theories also must a lot of personses can make the strenuous effort to crystallize hard;The history also will never be tedious, having it the affecting story.These all is not we sit in the classroom, browsing the experience that the textbook can learn!Understand convenience and its functions of usage the public's vehicle in addition, we usually make use of the train, bus, passenger transportation etc. the public the conveyance tool to do the cheap, convenient and comfortable route of travel.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Software: We used word2002 for editing the papers, Gold Wave4.25 for recording the voice, PhotoImpact7 for drawing, Dreamweaver4 for producing the website, and etc. Hardware: We used personal computers to edit the data and digital camera, monocular camera and digital video to record the interview. Besides, we scanned the photos with scanners and used telephones, e-mail and chat room of BBS to contact and discuss.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

In order to research the You Chang community thoroughly, we gave a visit to You Chang. We followed the map and information as well as observed the landscape and people in You Chang on the visit. What impressed us most was the friendly responses from the tobacco farmers. They were so generous in spending time on us even if they are busy with work. Their explanation, encouragement and recognition meant a lot to us. Because we didn’t know how to contact with the Labor Exchange Band before we interviewed with them, we searched for their information on line. Finally, we found out the way to reach them and completed the interviews.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Be the person of Kaohsiung, enjoy biggestly is to breathe the fresh air, on such serious today in air pollution, if can reduce a pollution to is been much more than only by benefit the person of whole Kaohsiung, but whole Taiwan, even the air pollution of the whole world is all the meeting as it does and few a pressure.Such place of the superstition in Taiwan, don't burn paper money is to god disrespect, and the temple does not burn the paper money to say at the older generation is to can't imagine and also can't accept of, the commander-in-chief temple does not burn the behavior of the paper money to let other temples be used as the model, we also publicizee much and much, offering a mental exertion as the Earth air pollution decompression;But at the time of Taiwanese tradition affecting descending, can't rising the too big function apparently, but, then publicizeeing, someone notices our voice, and start considering these problems, can not seeing clearly the too big difference probably inside the short time, as time passes, an ear in everyone devolution this principle.Very quick of, will start valuing this problem, and respond to the temples, had better will burn the custom of the paper money to correct, air pollution also therefore few a pollution source.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We are grateful to our geography teacher and his classmate, the graduate student of geography department in National Kaohsiung Normal University-Wu Shih-Cheng. They guided us to every visiting spot with great efforts. Their enthusiasm will be appreciated and always on our minds. Besides, we are also grateful to our chief instructor –Allen Chan. We would never make it on time without the monetary and equipment sponsors from the counseling center. Last of all, thanks our Principal –Lu Chin-Sheng. Because of his support and budgeteering, we have the English version of this project.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Former always take the computer to just chat, play the BBS, overdo the industry, mail the E- MAIL, play the GAME and check the data etc., we can also understand now that the computer play important role in living, the resource of the usage computer can look for and know more data, and can match the actual experience then through our viewpoint to present to appreciate to more persons(through web page);We can't imagine the far-reaching power in network!Through this fish for, we also realize the power that incorporation cooperate really very big, thanks a lot the conference to hold this activity, can make we by learn the knowledge that so many schools not necessarily learn to get in the game, stir up the more of inspiration at the same time, gather our power together to also create to belong to our own style web page to inform the meaningful information through it!
