1. Description of Our Community

Our community incarnates Taiwan's community spirit.

2. Summary of Our Project

The whole case study plan introduces the ability to represent of the people of Luzhou. Make people’ forefinger move or Zhuang Guan Gxi has a lot of experience or have traditional shops. These memories are people’ life. This is what our whole website let everybody appreciate and understand.

We make our website most of time in school. Our network equipment of school is 56K. In addition, every member’s Internet network environment is not the same. And we are not sure our computer or Internet access.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We decide to visit Zhuang Guan Gxi, the person who knows the most of Luzhou. To learn some books, his age is 83 years old. So we are very curious. But he has died. At that time, we do not know what things we can say. But some people who is his friends talk about him with us. And they give us some materials.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

International Schools CyberFair gives us to introduce our community. Our culture will be known.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Luzhou is a small city in Taiwan. We grow up, go to school and care about everything around us here at the same time. Though we are students with small ability, we wish eagerly to make some contribution to our living society. With the chance of participating in, we introduce the special local conditions and customs of Luzhou to international friends of world, and those who live in here how to pass on the traditional culture of Taiwan.

Hardware Computers Use of computer to make our website. Internet Inquire about the relevant materials. Cameras Shoot the state of interviewing. Printer Print off the necessary materials while interviewing.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We are learning to conceive out the website in our heart, but a lot of things become very difficult. Even we go to play the on-line game in daily life. However, we only know that the picture is lovely and attractive, but when we want to make a website like that. Everything is not so easy. We learn a lot of things this time. Knowledge is the life demand. As we have demands, we begin the journey of study.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our whole case study of goals is simple and brief. We want to the people who lives in Luzhou know our spirit. Let everybody lift their hand, and say” This is our local culture.”

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

How do we other members in the localities offer assistance or participate in our case study plan in free? The first we should thanks for our teacher Lin Chi Wen, he is very generous and natural to borrow us anything we need. We do not worry about where we can lend those things and we will have a lot of time to finish our website. Then, thanks for the people who let us visit and offer some news for us.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

We thought our local culture is poor at first. But we discover plentiful culture in Luzhou City at last. So we figure out, a place can not understand completely even you have lived in here for a long time. Everything has to a plan. When we finish our plan, we need to start quickly. In addition, we use a lot of time to argue with each other. So, we have to spend plenty of time finishing our website. The people what we interviewed for the most part are senile. So we thought they did not know Mandarin. But they spoke Mandarin very well.
