Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

A. Subject: Taipei 101 as the major effect of this region. Taipei101 is the first going sightseeing, influence institute on economy, humanities in this area. The website goal is promoting 101, therefore local community's definition can grows and change along with time and also affected in transportation, business, and the development of Taiwan.

B. Generalization: Taipei101is not restricted only in Taiwan but also the interaction between the world. Taipei 101 is the link between Taiwan others countries, the motor of all the communication between Taiwan and all over the world.

2. Summary of Our Project

Taipei 101 is the masterpiece at the end of 20 and at the beginning of 21st century. This skyscraper is not only the tallest in the world, but it also the highest in the category of structure, roof, and highest floor occupied. Build on the most shaking earth of Pacific Ocean region, this tallest building is the new outlook of the world. The goal of this building is to bring the whole Asia financial world back together and provide a practice ideal of international money maker blueprint.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

A. A lot of pressure are on us: first at all we had to encounter to pressure come from the schoolwork and the website delivery deadline is so short that why a lot of time we are fall behind our schedule… But the group leader leads in the right way so we did almost overcome almost of these problems.

B. The disposition of the homepage page layout: as soon as we start we encountered some of the grammar mistakes, caused afterwards not to have the meaning of size adjustment. Afterwards everybody has to find the homepage technology correlation information, and finally we had found the answer from a book!

C. About our schedule: every member of our team has to enroll in the cram school, that why we had a difficulty to find the common time, finally with the group motive we did take a decision not to present to the cram school and let this free time to realize the website.

D. As soon as we start the project, everybody had a difference opinion, and we needed to hold a meeting for any discussion relative about these opinions but it’s very difficult to have a mutual agreement about all of these ideas. Afterwards, slowly by adapting the method of voting we solved this problem and did not lack fairness.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Taipei 101 is one of the most avant-garde international constructions. This group of affiliations provides a brand-new pipeline omni-directional for this new style of architecture. We carry on the relation visit with the Taipei 101 general managers for obtaining the details so we could present it the most persuasive way. Lies in this motivation, we thought that we could manage an omni-directional website, for the purpose of bringing the most tendered knowledge and the media disseminator. Therefore, we also draw up a series of renewals promotion plan, takes advantage of this in the realization ideal into the website.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

*Group motor: The success leader needs unceasingly to bring the new ideas. And the success work team must follow up theses changes; and the most success website needs to update with the new information all the time. *Parts that fit into our school curriculum guidelines: A. The explanation of principle of Tuned Mass Damper is related to Newton's Law of Mechanism we've learned in Physics class. B. The basic structure and the safety of foundation is related to fault and dike of Geosciences. C. Photographing is related to art class. D. The idea of investment of TAIPEI 101 verifies the idea about economic we've learned is social class. E. The goal that make TAIPEI 101 into the financial center of the north Asia makes me more understand the society and history of Taiwan we have learned. F. The appearance of TAIPEI 101 is an example of building design we've learned in art class. G. TAIPEI 101 uses the bamboo as its appearance is related to the symbol of different plants we talked about in Chinese class. And it is also a connection with traditional Chinese culture.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

A. questionnaire We exchange our opinion with people in local community through the questionnaire that created by ourselves. This is the best way for us to know others opinion about this project. B. interview We had an interview with the manarger of TAIPEI 101. He gave us a lot of information about TAIPEI 101. He was interested in the project, and had dinner with us.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

A. Change the public idea about Taipei 101, eradicates the common thinking of the tall building in this area is not security.

B. After the interview, we know for a construction of a tall building which all needs a quite minute plan, a meticulous computation, and a huge manpower and fund.

C. Realization of the internationally 101, is also the welcome the reconviction of the world highest building in Taipei.

D. Contacts to 101 center higher-level managers and ask for the permission to visit the site.

Because this activity does not look like any general report, only have to find the correct information and contact Have to start the inaccurate division of work, could cause the overlap of work. Understanding and lesion to learn: This project is needs to plan ahead of time, moreover it needs a good cooperation and a good coordination of everybody, the mutual respect of each member can lead to a successful project
