Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

A small town with gracious landscapes that located at the northeast corner of Taiwan, simple-minded cultures nurtured plenty of talents of Arts and Literatures, and The Youth Theatrical Troupe of Fu-Shin Junior High School has been bred and well grown by this cultural and humane environment. The students of FSJH form the members of Youth Theatrical Troupe, after the long-term efforts, they have become one of the most characteristic activities of FSJH, and which is also the first performing troupe in Taiwan completely belongs to the junior high school students.

2. Summary of Our Project

The teachers, parents and students founded the Youth Theatrical Troupe of Fu-Shin Junior High School, Yi-Lan County in 1990 after the innumerable efforts and contributions. Then invites one of Taiwan’s most famous authors, Mr. Chung-Ming Huang as the troupe’s Director. Plenty of plays were performed in years, besides the performances in school, the troupe routinely scheduled several public performances in the community and neighbor schools in the County as well. Under the subsidizations from the nation’s Ministry of Education, the troupe even extended their footprints outside the County to spread the seeds of the Youth Theater.

The information science and technology advantage lies in the convenience which the material obtains. But excessively many information also become take in the shed the puzzle. Adds on the network use date to be more frequent, the school network frequency-width cannot follow the transmission speed as if the demand. That is a big problem to us in build homepage.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

It is difficult for us to translate English-language web, therefore we ask teachers for help. Fortunately, the teachers in our school are all glad to help us solve this problem. It would be easier for us to collect data because this subject is about club at school. We try our best to give our readers a clear idea from the limited data. we don't have much time to participate in the research project because of our heavy school work, The progress of research is very slow. Eventually we accomplish the goal of making the web which is about the special topic by taking advantage of the breaks between two classes periods and lunch time.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Art performance is the best cultivates raises in the development of teenage. We hoped look the affiliation to lead by our project, The world each place of teenage can know about our theatrical troupe. We also hope can open the gateway to pass toward the world. This is the knowledge we can’t study on school class.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

There's a course which is our favorite in human and art field. It is performance art. The teacher often talks about the theory of stage, drama, and dance. He wants every one to express himself or herself. Through the Taiwan school Cyberfair, we saw that the actors of the Youth Theatrical Troupe try their best to impress the audience with their voice, actions, facial expression and body language.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We use digital camera to complete our research project for Taiwan school Cyberfair.Huan-ching Lin, one of our team members, brought her digital camera from home. Then our advisor, Jin-Cheng Shi, teaches us how to use digital camera step by step in order to take wonderful pictures for our web site. In addition, drama teacher also offers us photos. we use scanner to get digital files of the photos. It is a challenge for us to use software, especially the FrontPage 2002. We are not so familiar with this software, because we used to use Word Process. Through some reading and counseling from teachers, we finally achieved the goal. Hopefully, we can apply what we have learned from this experience to solve other problems we encounter in our daily life.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We will maintain this website data after the CyberFair project competition. Any person which has the interest to our subject, May the affiliation by the email on homepage connects to us. 3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

The Fu-Shin Theatrical Troupe becomes biggest characteristics in our school. Each performance has the student guardian, the community populace hot row participation.
