Do you know there is a sculptor Jheng, Chun Syong in RenDe Country owing a lots of his works at schools in Tainan City and County, Kaohsiung, and Taichung? In the gate, fence, and buildings, as the “Art Hall”, where we live everyday are his relieve sculptors, but we do not know who makes them? It is really “ridiculous”. According to on-line searching and telephone interviews, we are surprised that “Master Jheng” was born in YanDiZih of TaiZihCun, RenDe Country, Tainan County. In order to complete our innocent parts, we are willing to lead everyone to have art SPA in visual and mental banquet through series of activities in the Project.

All express power and aesthetics by ”SamTaiTsi” in prince temple, “So Toil of Mother” in Tainan Municipal Cultural Center, “Confucius” in City Hall, and “Pull net” in CiJin Coastal Park, Kaohsiung City. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Mr. Jheng, ChunSyong created a lot of bronze sculpture works, and for those beginners like us, his ideology is uneasy to be understood. For a work, we used to see the superficial meaning, instead of deep essence, however, it is good that Mr. Jheng lead us to each one, and by his description all works become so lively and can show the beauty of bronze to us. Jheng, ChunSyong have an abundant number of works with strongly grass-rooted sense, as well as much unorganized data. For the Project, we spend more time and energies on data refilling and preparation, such a passionate and persistence challenge. After three months of restless lunch breaks and holidays, we can draw the outline for his art creation and establish frames and textures of website to present to the public. Also, through the Project we expect to share with Master’s contributions on arts in his first half life.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

From description of Mr. Jheng, only works of 'bronze' and other special materials can have the character of 'never eroded', even in outdoor space under destruction of rain and wind and time, still unchanged. It symbols our learning, profound basis to stand surrounding challenges.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The 9-year curriculum alignment has its major axis of 'human and art' and affiliate focus on mental mines in 'natural subject', thus we introduce Mr. Jheng, ChunSyong’s bronze sculpture art into school education and invite him to school lecture about appreciation local sculptures.

Too surprised, the huge “spirit landmark” on the entrance of our school is made by his coarse, but powerful hands, and so are the relieve sculpture on our fences and art sculpture of 'Aesthetics' on the administration hall. Therefore, we make our minds to promote and introduce his devotion and provide some art fans at school with opportunity to explore magic things of bronze sculptures, as well as expectation multi-development of students instead of only studying, and inspiration of students’ aesthetic interests. Real copper can stand fire refining. Bronze sculpture, is made as hollow, more efforts, thinner with more polished surface; as solid, inclining to make the cave and concave surface when boiling and unable for heat relieving during filling liquid bronze of 1400 degree high temperature. Therefore, it will need profound bases on sculpturing skills.

During interviews with Mr. Jheng, ChunSyong, we find his name card shows the bird of our County Treasure, Black-faced Spoonbill, composed by three streamline S, revealing the mind of a sculptor. The first S curve is his work 'Spring', the second one is sculpture, his favorite, and the third one is studio, his place. Three S combines to shape a “bird’ flying in the sky, free and unrestricted, representing creation of an artist.
