Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

The Quan Chou people move to Yung Ho very often. Because the residents live in Taipei (The Da Long Dong, Pao An temple) made a formal visit to Pao Sheng Monarch , the way was remoted, and passing through Xin Dian Stream. At that time, it didn't build Chong Chang Bridge, and socialized only by the ships. During the summer, when typhoons came or had a heavy rain, that caused flood to boom, then hinder the route, that was very inconvenient in that time. The villages built the temple and sacrificed Pao Sheng Monarch. The followers spread through Xi Chou of Yung Ho and Wa Yao of Chong Ho.

2. Summary of Our Project

Yung Ho Pao Fu Temple is a Taoism ancient temple that has a great reputation. Now we catch sign of its splendid appearance, maybe we don't know how much time it went through ; we also don't understand how many times it made up, that we can see its face today. Yung Ho where we lived, we want to show by The Dreamers Team's hands, time and eyes, let everyone understand the Yung Ho Pao Fu Temple's prosperous and history: The ancient temple contains its history meaning and existence value.

This competition is wonderful. It can increase our realization to local. Action speaks louder than words, during these actives, we know more about our own home. The using of Internet is much better than study books, but we believe that study by ourselves is necessary.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

At first, the leader of our team, who didn’t have a computer at home, so he has to go to other teammate’s home to update to the server. It’s so trouble to do this. Moreover, sometimes our team got a serious problem: LAZY. But after all, we are good friends anyway. We can’t abuse each other. So… friendship keeps us going

There are too many things to thank for, so we can only thank God.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We visited local history researchers, at first by phone, and met face to face. They were happy for our researching, so we didn’t have any generation gap, just like friend. That makes us exciting, too.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

By this actions, we know many workers and researchers of Pao Fu Temple, and because they don’t have a website for this temple, when they saw the website, they were touched. They hope we can let everyone know this temple. We were shocked and touched, and support us keep working, fighting.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Of course, the workers and researchers of Pao Fu Temple. They offered us a lot of information. And what is more: The people who gave their opinions to us, thanks for your all!Your support makes us better, and it is you to keep us going!

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

During this actives, we are learned a lot of thing. We think every one should offer as tribute for we grow up, and we feel: No pain, no gain. If you don’t work, you will never know how hard it is to work like this. After all, offer as tribute to where you grow!
