Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Shansia , a town where thriving and prosperous by river transport. Although today, Shansia is not flourishing like aforetime but also develop a complete religion center -- Shansia Tzushr Temple of the small town. We hope through our introduction let people in the world know more about our community and farther concern about our living surroundings.

2. Summary of Our Project

Sanshia Tzushr temple has too many things can be talked about. And also many people have studied it even spent a lot of time. Then why we still want to do this project? Because we want to research its deeper meaning. Not just only say "What is that?". We're hoping to find out "Why is that?". Why there's carves have to be arrange like that? Do they have any special meanings which few people addressed about? Our web will not introduce all the wood or stone carves. (There are 5000 stories behind those carves, it's impossible for us to introduce all of them.) But we selected the most important sculptures to explain their involved meaning in detail.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:more than 50%

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:more than 6

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:not sure

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:more than 6

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

leader of the team: The biggest problem we have are "crew" and "language". Sometimes, members they can't hand in the paper on time. I had to push them . They often said "I can't find this information or data." to me. And I'll give them some direction or help from our teacher. I'm only a common high school student. It's a little too difficult for me to report in English. I always confuse whether it is wrong or right. Data crew:    Our Project Sound Bite Problem Initially we had to overcome the problems. We still can't completely understand about Tzushr Temple. We met many problems like the searching of information. I'm afraid that We couldn't do it well. However, We didn't give it up. We tired to collect information in many different ways. Even We visited Tzushr temple in person. Finally I conquered all the problems.technology crew: The pressure of time We had heavy study so that we didn't have a lot of time to work on our project. We should use the time such as lunch time ,break time and other extra time which is very short. Sometimes we also had to collect information on our holidays, that is, we spent all of time that we can use to work on our project. The limit of technique Our technique and knowledge about that software is rather limited. We solved our problems by collecting information like official documentations and following our teacher's guides.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We learn many things by the process of finishing the work, which reminded us not to forget spread he culture widely. After all, this is our culture; we have to protect it from dying out.It is not simply convenient but fast for us to finish the project by the Internet!

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Ming Der high school is located in Sanshia. So we try to find a subject that stands for Sanshia. And we also wanted to get the local culture of Sanshia moving by this chance. Finally, we decide the theme of this project is the Sanshia Tzushr temple. We can say this research activities and the Internet really recruit the school course for the following reasons: 1) We seem to learn a lot of things from school. But there is still something that we cannot learn from textbooks. For example, by doing this project, we not only realize why Li Mei-Shu want to reconstruct the Sanshia Tzushr temple but the relationship between the Sanshia Tzushr temple and people who lived in Sanshia. 2) We normally get knowledge from school or books. At the age of virtual network, we can use the Internet to get more and more knowledge and even can extend to different territories.

He is an expert in Sanshia tzushr temple. He is very glad we study about the temple, because less of young men were interested in that study. He told us how to "read " Sanshia tzushr temple and gave us many information and inspiration. We via Mr. Shu, we began to touch with Li Mei-shu Memorial Gallery.
