Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

The world we live has accompanied us through so many years, yet because of humanity |s ignorance and foolishness, we have gradually destroyed and harmed Mother Nature. Saving our planet is just like rescuing life

2. Summary of Our Project

Dharma Master Cheng Yen once said, ¡§With startling disasters must come the awakening of its warning.¡¨ At the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, in disordered and chaotic states, human hearts are not as simple and pure like before. Human divides prevent harmony, thus society is full of negative and evil thoughts. From October 13, 2002, Tzu Chi has begun promoting the event of ¡§Let Kindness Heal the World¡¨ of the movement ¡§Spread the Seeds of Love¡¨ in the hopes that every person may have benevolent thoughts, and spread the love to all corners of the world. This is precisely the reason we chose the name of Tzu Chi¡|s movement as our theme. We hope that by introducing recent disasters, viewers can experience the truth and power of ¡§love¡¨. Furthermore, we hope that by telling short stories, we can awaken the love in people¡|s hearts, and let the warmth of love fill the world, creating cycles of goodness.

We used 56k moderm at home. only a few student used Cable moderm or ADSL.In school, our computer class use mostly like ADSL.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We had overcome the english wed page and some updates that we must do.We used some software o update those wed page. it is harder than we thought.we spent many time doing tranlation on the chinese douments. sometimes, we are having problems on tranlating the douments.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

we do hard,we had results.lf we had some problems on the project, we ask from teacher.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

This project let us learn more about internet and computer software.when we are in computer lesson, we get some diffcult problems that we can't solve easily. when we do this project, our problems are slove one by one unitl our problems are slove.this project contain a lot of people to finished it. And also it make us to know each other better.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

we use photoImpact6.0, Microsoft FrontPage 2000,Microsoft Word 2000,CoreIDPAW9.0,Internet Explorer.photoshop6.0.We location each tool to one of the computer.we call that computer the main one.we don't have any tools that donated by any businesses or schools.we think FrontPage 2000 is our most valuable tools. it help us to update the wedpage and it can changes the special on the bar below of the wed page. photoshop6.0 and photoImpact6.0 are the most helpful software to us.it can help to change the button and back grounds and so on.it also can create more useful and beautiful things and add to our wedsite.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

because we wanted to get some clues from our project. we visited the Master house to ask some of the teacher live in here.when we are doing this project , every teachers know that. so our pressure are very big.we get to ask for the clues , not just sit there and wait for the news. we worked very hard to this project.And we wish we can finished this project.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our project is different form other wedsite. our project is talking about tzu Chi foundation and some disaster that tzu Chi help in.people will learn more about Tzu Chi and know what is Tzu chi doing about.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We called AiRoger to help us to slove the question that we don't understand.we also ask some Question from a girl from New York City. we also thanks those teacher and some people that help us to slove some software problems and some arrangment.We are so thankfully to them.And wish them have a wounderful year.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

we discovered that we know about outer country better and knew how to contact them well.we are surpries that some question we need a lot of explaintion then we know what it means.We had a bigger surpries that someone in our group send a mail to AiRoger that we can't finished our project so he ask from giving up the project. But the Global Schoolnet adivce not to give up the project working. we had learn how to gather the people around us and do the project together.
