Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

The definition of our selected local community is the area near Erhshui Village.The address of our school is near Erhshui Village.Lo river inkslabs, made with stones found along the banks of teh Chushui Creek at Erhshui Village, are praised as the best of their kind, slowing water evaporation and producing quality ink, making them a valuable collectors' item. Stones from the Lo River come in many different colors black, crimson, blue, green and aquamarine. The crimson stones are most scarce and thus the more highly valued.

2. Summary of Our Project

We focus on the following aspects: 1.The understanding of Lo river inkslabs. 2.The area Lo river inkslabs are found. 3.How to distinguish Lo river inkslabs. 4.The process of making Lo river inkslabs.

1.It is very difficult for us to learn how to build a web site,but it is lucky for us to find a computer expert who lives in our communicity to help us to solve all kinds of problems.

we students can learn how to apply what we learn in the woks we accomplish.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our school has been teaching us how to make Lo river inkslabs for many years.Therefore we can conder this activity to be a good opportunity to deepen and broaden what we learned before.Most of all,we can strengthen our motions to our local community by attending this research.

1.we use e-mail to communicate with Cyberfair 2001. 2.We use use fontpage2000 to build our homepage. 3.we use flash to make beautiful live motion. 4.We use scanner,digital cammera,Dv cammera to gather photos.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Most of our students ask their parents to attend our research.By this way,their parents understand and love ouy community more than before. Moreover,many parents don't understand Lo river inkslabs since we attend this activity.So We think this activity is very meaningful to us.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We think there are few people knew Lo river inkslabs in the world.we really think visters who view our pages will understand and like Lo river inkslabs.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

The reason why we can gather so many informations about Lo river inkslabs is that we find a expert who directs us to understand Lo river inkslabs .The one who we call expert is Mr. chan.He has made Lo river inkslabs more than 20 years.He lives in Erhshui Village.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

1.There are wide and deep culture in little things. 2.Practicing are better than saying.
