Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, a city with seemingly never ending energy, always on the move. Taipei, the cultural and commercial center of Taiwan. Full of modern air and the robust of a metropolis. Taipei, full of history of our ancestors, the great variety of food culture, along with the beauty that fully deserves the name Formosa.

2. Summary of Our Project

The project introduces the spacialities, ruins and scenery area in Taipei(included Taipei City and Taipei County). There are text introduction, reviews, and graphics in the contents. Especially some very special spots that is not easy to be found on many references.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

The original URL of this project is http://cnmc.hs.ntnu.edu.tw/~cyberfair , but the connections from foreign country might be very slow, so we put two mirror site at Angelfire and uhome.net in Hong Kong. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Well, we didn't stay focused a lot at our project contents so our contents varied a lot. We moved out many contents and made the contents more focused.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We introduce a lot of special spot that many references is not told about, so it is worth taking a look.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Well, the project were planned very big in the beginning, Since we had many people in the project, we still couldn't collect all the information we need. We focused at some special locations that made the project specialized a lot.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We collect our contents and graphics by visiting the community we focused. and after arranging our contents and graphics, we made our contents into webpages by computer.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Well, most of the ambassador contacted by us is the specialities shop vendors. They introduced us about the specialities they sell, like the history and why it is special. and some of the ambassador are the local people who live near our ruins and scenery areas. We also connected some rumors and informal informations from them.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

This projected talked a lot at the fascinating but not famous spots. I think this project can help those spots more popular and make the people know those spots more.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Some of the ambassador were very kind that they gave us a lot of information we need. they also sent us many good graphics and more text informations.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

This project made the students knows Taipei much more. And there new knowledge and experience will help them well in the future.
