1. Description of Our Community

Kenting appears a to be a place with many faces. People around Taiwan take it as a natural paradise.We are going to bring you a brand new view of Kenting. It plays an important role to people across Taiwan. The variety og species and the beautiful coastline attract people here. The weather and people are always sunny. Kenting is really a wonderland for being on vacation and get close to the nature. Here is our heartfelt enthusiasm to take you there through our effort.

2. Summary of Our Project

We live in Taiwan and we are proud of the most wonderful beach life of South Taiwan. Please follow us to explore every aspect of life in the Kenting area. What you can eat, where you can stay and how you can have fun, what residenters' life appear--everything is covered in our site and hopefully the impression can be held here. We concern about the relationship between the nature and people. So Kenting is a good example for other governments to learn from. Residenters use the natural resources well Without hurting it. That's why we want to introduce you this place with our love in this ground.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

It has been a little time for us to finish our web pages. Especially we have busy school life. Also we only have three members.It's really tough task. It is just like Mission Impossible. The most important part is that we need to observe the spots and interview the residenters in person. So we had some problems on transportation. But at last, three of us cooperate well and find some help from our teacher and family. They lent us the devices and take us to Kenting. "Hard work makes success" has been proved.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

During the process of formating web pages, we learned to use more digital devices like digital cameras, scanners, digital recorders, etc. And we learn more about how to communicate with people and ask for help. Also, we get more experiences about looking for information and sort it out.Our team spirit is complete brought out. We achieve this collaboratively.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We use digital recorder, which helps us with interview of foriegn tourists; the scanner, which helps deal with photos; the camera, which helps us capture the beauty of Kenting and finally the internet services, which helps us collect information on the net.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We interview some foreigners to know their feelings about Kenting. We ask them to promote the beauty of our national park. Most important of all, we introduce the natural beauty of this wonderland to the world.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We describe the works that are employed to develop a natural area into a world of both natural and artificial beauty. And this is an inspring experience that we share with global villagers. After we make our effort known to the world, more people will surely come visit Kenting, which will bring prosperity to this area. This is our expected contribution. At the same time, we people in Taiwan will identify ourselves with the land we grow up and love our homeland forever.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We cooperate with the local residents of the Kenting area and we also get assistance from foreign friends. All the visitors we met are very happy to join our project and express their feelings toward the paradise.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

It never occurred to us that Kenting is such a place worthy of name--the paradise of tourists. Now we really find a lot of fun in our exploration. Above all, we find people can enjoy the harmony with Nature and get along well.
