1. Description of Our Community

We define ¡§Our Community¡¨ that we will involve things. Not only are our living area but also our geography environment. It is including the geography environment character, history ,and so on¡K The scope is very widely.

2. Summary of Our Project

Tamsui is a very beautiful place and also one of an important culture city in Taiwan. She is a focus in humanism or natural landscape. For example: St.Duo-Ming-Go castle, Old Street, Ferry Port, Temple ¡Ketc. We will visit there to pick the beautiful of Tamsui and share with friends in the world. In our web site, we create two cute people,John & Mary, through their traveling & dialogues, you can get more and more understanding of Tamsui.

Our school computer room is using Windows NT Internet. The Internet is through an T1 special railway line to connect Learning Network. At our houses, we are using 56K modem to link ISP to Internet.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

For making this Network race, we got many experience on it. We finally understand that it have to take many ideas in translate, art designing, contents and technical to build a Network station. Each of details is not to allow ignoring. Everything must to well-arrange then things is possible. Everyone has their personal opinion but they don¡¦t insist their opinion. Therefore, things are going very smooth. Everyone do the best to produce this work.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Everything can¡¦t reach the goal in one step. It has to do research and to stagger along for getting some experience. After finish this case study, we have difficult to cut apart to Tamsui. After all, we have to go deep into study it. Tamsui will seal cutting deeply in our young soul.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We learned how to search and collect information and understand culture since we started this action. Understanding we can¡¦t work along and team works connect everybody¡¦s hear and common view. Moreover, we realize the information technology is very important under the information explode society.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

CuteFtp¡GPassing our work to conference¡¦s Hub. Digital camera¡GTo absorb the beautiful Tamsui photo. Thanks Mr. Zuo¡¦s kindly help. Dreamweaver , Flash , Photoshop , Outlook Express ¡GTo complete our Homepage. ICQ¡GTo Exchange the report learning or discussion items. Virtual Reality ¡GThanks for Zhu-Yang Technology Corporation in technology support.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Interviewing people is very difficult job for us. We have to say very clearly for our purposes and status. We tell them we are senior high school's student. We are studying in National Chungho Senior High School and come here for Studying. Then, we tell them our interview direction and questions. Just to tell them clear about everything, they are glad to tell us everything what they knew. We also take turns to interview difference people. We are getting know how to ask questions and deeply after few time. Our information wills more diversification. We will review other Homepage. We find some technology can be used on our Homepage; then we will call them or send E-mail to them for asking support.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Due to the rapid transit system working, a large number of visitors bring a new commerce breath. This small town was once covered by dust. Right now, there are many popular store and lost their original primitive. We have limitless sighing with emotion after we walked all over this place. We hope this series report on a special topic can weak up every to admire the real Tamsui beauty.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We would like to thank Hu-Wei workroom provided assistance. In the beginning, we are very helpless and don¡¦t know how to start this research. We are crude and impetuous to go to Tamsui Zhen office for looking information; then, we go to Hu-Wei workroom under Tamsui Zhen office¡¦s guide. The workroom staffs are very ardent to help us understanding Tamsui. Finally, we talk with Mr. Hong-Yi Song who is the leader of workroom. He helps know our defect and provide the best support for this case. We want to thank them for we have this result

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

For Tamsui unique features, it is merge over hundred histories. We are learning that it is difficult for us to show Tamsui style at some column. We want to express the special place of sightseeing natural resources. We have to know the intension and background. Otherwise, it is only the surface interview. No meaningless at all!
