Summary:
In this project, schools in the US and Uzbekistan create a ‘Partners Site’ based on original research into their communities.
Weeks 1-3: Classes research and post information on a site which contains the following sections: Government, Media, History, Culture, Education, Economy, Location, and People. [There will be a special template for this project which will enable classes to insert the information that they find.] Week 4: Partner classes meet online to discuss their findings and ask questions about each other’s websites. Week 5: Participating students conduct presentations for their schools about their partner class.

MY COMMUNITY is just one of several projects offered by School Connectivity for Uzbekistan, a program funded by the US Department of State and administered by IREX. The project is flexible and can be started at any time.
